Pretty happy with these 2, Aurora blows away Nitecore tip in output and is so much more compact, good accesorries package as well.
Tool 2.0 works really well & bright with NIMH, perfect beam, they tweaked it a lot from version 1, better tailcap, clip seems stronger, PWM is gone, length a little shorter, but crappier lanyard and packaging, still a great value at $12 from that deal.

wasn’t that price just for Prime Day? I see it at $26 something now?

It was a lightning deal during prime day, back up in price now
I received my Rofis R1 today - I like it.
Nice UI and mode spacing.
Direct access to moonlight, memorized mode and turbo.
Pretty good beam pattern and tint.
Feels good in my hand.
Strong magnet.
Adjustable angle will come in handy.
66g with battery.

goshdogit:
I grabbed some screenshots of the manual from a YouTube review:
They only specify AA, so I’d assume they’re measuring with alkaleaks.
I think that 600 is a bit of a reach, I don’t see much difference from nimh and a 14500, for $10 it’s a decent light, I do notice it cuts out briefly when you attach the magnet to a surface or tap the bottom hard, I cant get it to do this by shaking it, so it only loses contact briefly on that type of impact, not too big of a deal tho. Could use a third brightness level but can’t complain too much for the price point.

I created a thread here with some pictures: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/57686
Do Prime deals block Vipon coupons from working?
I finally was able to use the 50% off coupon for the Rofis R2 even with the Prime sale of $38.97.
My total was $20.48 for 1. Sweet. I was expecting the $29.48 shown in Vipon.

I wonder how this light compares to the Nicron N7 for half the price?

Here’s the Vipon link for the Rofis R2.
Looks like it’s good for another 6 days.

I should clarify that I’ve not used Vipon before. I think you need to sign up in order to take advantage of their deals.
I simply searched for ‘flashlight’ and found the Rofis R2 deal information page I linked to.
The Vipon page has an ‘open in Amazon’ link below the photo. I assume you need to be logged into Vipon to see the price change on Amazon.
EDIT: I found the page while using my iPad. Oddly, I just tried my link on a laptop and it took me to Vipon’s homepage.
Try the mobile version of the link by clicking here. I simply replaced ‘www’ with ‘m’ in the beginning of the link and it takes me to the page I see on my iPad.
It looks like this:

Well, I signed up for Vipon and clicked the ‘open in Amazon’ link, but it is showing a price of $38.97 Prime instead of the $29.98 Vipon price.
I wonder if the deal is expired and has been removed from Vipon’s main site but not from the mobile site?
Perhaps a member with Vipon experience can chime in to help?
The Rofis R2 price for Prime members is $38.97 even without the Vipon coupon code.
If you are a Prime member and use this coupon, you get it for 50% of $38.97 - at least I did this morning.

I was wondering what the 10 hour countdown at the bottom of the page meant.
Thanks for clarifying. :+1: As I said, I haven’t used Vipon before. I was just trying to help sbslider find the link.
It seems there are some differences in what’s visible on Vipon’s main site and mobile version.

Thanks goshdogit, that works for me. :+1: Not sure that I’ll be up when the deal goes live, but I might be able to get my son who is up half the night (and has prime) to do it for me.
