We were estimating it would need to pull 14A-16A to do a real 4300 lumen OTF. Of course, it might actually measure a bit less of both. I don’t know if anyone has measured the 50.2 lumens or amp draw yet. I don’t think I’ve seen any of those reports. Maybe the light is still too new and not many people have recieved them yet.
I’m measuring around 14 Amps tailcap current on the FT03 XHP50.2 (using UT210E amp meter and a short piece of copper wire to form a loop around the tail tube).
Unfortunately I don’t have a way of measuring lumens. I have a basic lux meter which I can only measure some ceiling bounce lux measurements…
My luxmeter shows 125.000 Lux and my ceiling bounce shows 4541 Lumen for my neutral white (5700k) FT03 XHP50.2
(both may be 5 to 10 seconds after start, using a unprotected Keeppower 26650 with 5200mAh).
For my FT03 with SST40 neutral white (5700k) I got 190.000 Lux and 2306 Lumen.
Both numbers are a little on the low side because the KP5200 is a pretty weak battery (high capacity plus old chemistry). It’s a safe battery, though. Performance is still good.
Your lumen numbers are too high. You might want to adjust your numbers down by around 25–30. That should put you in the right ballpark. Ceiling bounce can vary a lot as far as measuring lumens.
