81 in sunny Orange County tomorrow. I’m loving my 8800 watt solar system. My house thermostat is set at a comfortable 72 degrees. My SCE bill is zero monthly. I designed and installed my solar system myself and I no longer worry about hot summers or dolling out my hard earned cash to the electric company.
My system has already paid for itself. I paid around $16,000.00 initially for panels, new 120 amp panel retro, inverter, misc.parts, permits and such. I received a little over $15,00.00 in Federal Tax credits. My out of pocket after all was said and done was around $1000.00 which I have saved in electric Bill’s over the past year.
One of the benefits of being a General Contractor …

another near perfect day in Santa Barbara. high was somewhere in the 70s, a bit of damp fog in the morning, but beautiful in the afternoon. Supposed to be 5F cooler tomorrow.
Probably only 200 miles straight line from racoon city, but a world of difference. He’s only about 75 miles from the Pacific Ocean, but about 40F away in daytime high temperature.
