Now that thereās a production ready version, could we add the finalized details/specs list, estimated price points, and battery type recommendations to the first post?
Which list(s) are you looking at? I see you in post #1 for 2 lanterns and youāre also in both spreadsheets linked in post #1. Below is the ānamesā list I published last night showing you on for 2 lanterns. Per sbsliders post I didnāt know what a few were so I decided it was 2
Another entry for quote of the year from my wife. Her chemo therapy is really messing with her head. She said, āI am tired of having the brain of a six year old. I think Iāll have the brain of a ten year old for a while.ā What an internal warrior she is.
Iām going to be on vacation 7/26 - 8/4 so the next update will be this coming Thursday night or Friday morning. Iāll update the lists sometime 8/5 after I get back. I expect that there will be many sign-ups during this period
Iāve been AFK on a camping trip for 2 weeks but wanted to comment on this. I camp with a cargo trailer (no inside wiring) so I used my Q8 and my Streamlight Siege lantern for illumination. The Q8 as a ceiling-bounce light was actually the mainstay for me. Anyone who wants a light for power outages or anything within a room or a trailer should consider having a Q8 for ceiling bounce; the light is so glare-free. But for lighting up a tent (fabric doesnāt bounce light very well) or an outdoor area in a non-directional manner, hanging up a lantern will win the night.
BTW, when I went to bed each night Iād ramp my Q8 down to lowest output and set it upside-down next to the bed area. Instead of an annoying green glare from the switch, I had an extremely faint glow peeking out from the crenelations. When (not if) I had to get up in the middle of the night to use the porta-pot, I simply turned the Q8 upright and had just the right amount of light off the ceiling for my night-adjusted eyes.
So in other words, maxacarp, I recommend that you get a Q8 as soon as possible! Mine has proven itself to be extremely useful.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled program: As the LT1 World Turns. :confounded:
