Yes it is. Xhp 50.2 also has same footprint as sst 40, so you can even reflow it to the existing mcpcb yourself, if you have sst 40 version

I see HSP and that’s what I think sorry, getting carried away.

XHP70 and 70.2 definitely exist, and they’d physically fit in the FT03, but the issue is that I believe they’re mostly 12v. There’s apparently 6v variants, though. Compared to the 50.2, it’s the same kind of “wall-of-light” profile, just bigger.

This XHP50.2 is a 3v variant.

Banggood will get it to you in around two weeks.
I prefer the earlier (less lumins) version.
It has much longer throw.
But both are well worth having.

I think I remember reading that it was the same driver as the SST40 model, so I’m guessing no (if that’s the case).

I am using the 3V edition of the XHP50.2 for you the best place to buy the LED would be from mountain electronics if they have any in stock or from here.

The stock MCPCB in the FT03 is 28mm so the 20mm board is a bit harder to fit in place. Or you can reflow the XHP50.2 on your SST40 board.

I put the sliced SST40 back into my FT03 and the silicone layer burnt of the top of the LED lol. Self dedoming LEDs? I cleaned it with some alcohol and its still working for now. Not sure why it burnt up? I did have it out of the light for a few months now so it may have gotten dirty it could of had plastic on it from storage. I used the sliced SST40 for a few weeks at least before putting the XHP50.2 in it so its weird. Just one of those things i think.
Mind you i did drop the SST40 on the floor while handling it lol.

Oh, just to update the travel time for Banggood to Northeast United States, I ordered the FT03 August 26th, and got it September 18th, this is why I hope for an astrolux, and convoy dealer in the U.S. They make good gifts, just not the most reliable on a time crunch.
