Which version? Might be it’s limited to the SST40 only
Thought dawn was just breaking in your last picture,
with the Chaselight. LOL
Pretty bright (can make out “Hamza-3”, and “Hamza-4”, in your original picture).
Lights up the background house (seems they may just have turned their house lights on, Dawn?) , like the FT03, in Turbo.
Nice price/prize!
Coupon Code for Chaselight?
Why? Just why are you enabling another flashlight purchase? I purchased a few recently and I really don’t need another right now. Why must you do this?
I get that all the time. They will make great gifts at the price I got them for. I will wind up keeping 1 of each. Maybe both of the 5000K SST-40’s just because the emitter is so hard to get.
Yokiamy: BabyDoc: scosgt: BabyDoc:How did you get this light for $33? Did you need a coupon? I see it selling for $49 on Bangood.
There was a sale that ended 7/19 I think. I bought two, still waiting on one.
I just found this coupon which gets the price down to about $36. BGFT03X
Now my only problem is I can’t decide whether to buy the 50.2 or the SW40 which is also available in CW version for the same price. If it was NW it would be a no brainer. Anybody have a suggestion? The banner on top just showed a FT03 for 31,99 now, when using code AFT03
That code did not work for me. $49.95
Try this code:BGFT03X
It works for me but only on the XPL 50. You’ll get it for $36.

180 degrees off LOL. It was just after sunset.
No one lives in the houses, so no lights were just turned on or off.
You want a coupon for a $25 light?
I am told there is a coupon for every light, so being in a budget forum,
Figured I would ask.
Guess I will opt for a FT-03…
To many lites, not enuf pock-it’s, this endeavor is gonna break my belt, & enlighten
Me pockets. Haha
Any Canadians have any suggestions on where to source 26650 batteries for this light? I’m new to this whole flashlight world and would appreciate some pro tips!! Thanks!
Could someone with both versions of the FT - 03 post comparison beamshots of the two , please?

Post #310 on this thread has them side by side
Appreciate that someone made a montage from the video I posted... here is another side-by-side comparison of the FT03 XHP50.2 (left) vs the FT03 SST40 (right) on a wall: [image]
Thanks, hope the OP doesn’t mind if it is posted here for others to appreciate
Left is the newer version, XHP-50
Yokiamy: scosgt: BlueSwordM:The Q8 and SP36 are actually brighter, have better build quality, and especially on the Q8, much higher thermal mass and much better thermal dissipation.
The meter may say so, my eyes disagree.
Since those are both more flood than thrower, they may indeed put out “more light”.
But in my actual testing, they don’t hold a candle to the FT03.You may be right there, but please do not forget some important aspects, like bluesword already mentioned
The FT03 is a nice light, but hes very little thermall mass, so it will heat up fast and thus loose lumen output.
It will drain your batteries quite fast, so again you loose lumen output
The Q8, Sp36 both give you stock more lumens, but due to the small reflectors, they beam output is way different. The XHP70 L6 will do stock about 3800 Lm which is almost the same as the XHP50.2 in the FT03, but as said it has more thermall mass so longer time to heat up and thus longer higher runtimes.
And yes, i did a resistor mod (R120) om my L6, and you can definitely see the difference, it will boost a 500Lm or soSo please reconsider your thoughts
I know English is not your first language, so no offense taken. But no, I will not reconsider my thoughts. They are mine and I am entitled to keep them.
You can have an opinion on what is more useful/impressive to you but it is hard fact that those other lights put out more light and exceed the FT03 in other areas. For a high power thrower the FT03 is an almost unbeatable value though, the only real competition being the Catapult V6 IMO (boost driver and some other advantages, but less throw for a higher price).
Personally I rarely have use for a dedicated thrower and have put frosted lenses or diffusion film on my big-lumen lights, still plenty of range due to the sheer output. Just different tools for different jobs! :+1:
The banner on top says $31.99 but when you click it, it comes up $36.99

That is, when you choose the USA warehouse
If you select CN warehouse and use code AFT03 it comes up 31,99
I used the code AFT03 and bought the FT03 Sw40 5700k version. Since this is a thrower I want the maximum throw. This will throw further. run cooler and run longer, which for me is a good trade off for the extra lumens of the 50.2. While it won’t have as much spill as the 50.2, I have other bright, floody lights, like the D4S for that, but none that will throw as far.

Tempted to get one of those, but,

I had to have one of every flavor… way before the 3v 50.2 came out, I modded one of mine with it and for throw I de-domed a few SST-40’s and well the throw….it is impressive…for a $32.00 light…
Anyone dedomed a XHP50.2 in this light yet?
I would think it would be comparable to the SST-40 then but with more lumens.

What would be the actual benefit?
Should be more lumen output than the 40 but about the same size hotspot.
