If I remember correctly, when new, my Makos were significantly more accurate… within 2 seconds per day. Over time, they got worse.
There is a way to adjust accuracy, but it requires some very precise and steady hands.
EDIT: I went back to check my records. My original Mako actually runs fast by about 30 seconds/day if I leave it face up, but that is the old 46943 movement. My newer Mako USA II with F6922 movement seems to be more accurate so far.
Do I get it right, you guys buy mechanical watches to complain about observe how many seconds the watches run fast or slow instead of buying a quarz watch?
Hmm, on the other hand I mod every knife I get and make a lot of handicraft thing so I guess I understand the fiddling. A bit ;)
Thanks weklund, yes I am sure I have seen you sport a few G’s in the past. I am also sure you have played a part in me wanting to get some as well(going back a good bit of time). An enabler for sure with an amazing collection. Iirc you have a mudmaster? The next one up from mine. Could be wrong……
Nice gulfman , my little one is made up as he has just got one. Not the same, smaller version , the 9100. I loved the look, titanium case back, but the band is too small for my wrist. It appears only the double bands fit best. Basically when on wrist, it was 1 or 2 holes off the end………don’t like the way it sat just tucked in the retainer. I could of course got a larger strap, but the smile on his face alone was more than worth it.
I was about to post a pic from phone but looked huge . Will have to sort later .
