[USA] ☀︎ Illumn: PB2S Blue, Red, Yellow. FW1A (waiting on SST-20), FW3A in stock and shipping

I believe this is a product from your store:

When searching on your website, it is back ordered! Will it be available with the new User Interface configuration?

Cool. I didn’t know about the new version.

Every single time I’ve looked at it on Illumn it’s said backordered. I finally signed up to be notified in case it ever comes back.

Hopefully if that ever happens it’ll be the new version.

Edit: I just watched the rest of the video and see that Illumn doesn’t have it listed in stock because of crappy QC.

Likely not enough volume for Lumintop to make us a special run.

We will not be selling these until Folomov demonstrates to us that they have fixed QC and design problems.

FW3A Colored Anodization, FW3T Titanium, Hybrid Titanium Copper Models will be picked up ASAP after the latest release announcement.

Thanks for the reply Calvin :+1:
Hope they figure out how to solve those issues, as the UI is already good on this version

Making an interest list for the FW3T/FW3A Color Anodized models. Please list the model and LED type!

i’d like a purple with the 219B

Did you mean the stock 219C or a custom 219B one :P

I’ll take a purple 219C. The Lumintop 219C appears very rosy from the pics.

Possibly the FW3T tI/cu with sst20

A rosy 219C… I’ll believe it when someone puts it next to something else for reference.

Mine isn’t rosey but it is a pleasant creamy white. No green fortunately on any level.

How does the 210C 4000K compare to the SST-20 4000K FD1?
Do you know what the tint bin and CRI is for the 219C 4000K?
which is rosier?

The SST20 is rosier than the 219C in this batch of lights. I can ask Lumintop which tint bin and CRI but they're super bad at responding.

What output are you comparing them at? Can you compare a lower level and see?

Higher outputs mostly. That's interesting, at a lower level the 219C seems rosier.

That is what people want to know (IMO). Across its whole output range the SST-20 can shift a huge amount from pretty high above BBL to look awful to right at or below BBL at max output.

The 219C, LH351D, XP-L HI do not do this as much. 219B has a pretty big shift too but it's a bit different. It seems to shift quick and just stay there. SST-20 shift follows current very evenly.

How will your price compare to other sellers (e.g. Neal’s Gadgets) for the new versions?

I feel your prices for the FW3A and FW3C options currently listed are very reasonable compared to overseas sellers.

I think many stateside would rather purchase them from you due to the quicker and more transparent shipping and the high level of customer service you provide. My experience with Neal has been great so far (minus slow communication on occasion), but waiting for “the slow boat” and wearing out the refresh button on tracking sites makes my stomach turn. I’ve purchased a number of things from Illumn, and never had a single issue.

We will attempt to match or come as close as possible. People sometimes forget we're actually a family run 3 man op here at Illumn, not some massive corporation.

From what I’ve seen, you communicate like a big ’ol corporation (in that you are quick) provide service like a small shop (you give at least 2 *). I imagine that importing the lights has a cost associated with it, and then there is the risk/cost of having your capital tied up in inventory. I respect what you guys do.

I will probably order any additional FW3Whatevers from your store, but I’m tapped for now (my wife is so far unaware that we now have a “flashlight” item in our discretionary budget).

You guys are the best! Thanks for opening up a brick and mortar location! Every time I go in there’s always something new to see.
