FF ROT 66 gen 2 Whats the update?

Just saw at ff-lights website?Any clue on the updates?Anybody have any infos.Tq

I think I read it will have a fixed battery tube like Q8 instead of carrier?

thanks for the info.so no major updates, still a 9 leds light.

It will be more than 9-leds and no battery carrier. My biggest gripe with V1 was the inconvenient battery carrier and the compression foam losing resilience over time causing less pressure against electrical contact and significantly dropping lumens. These will all be fixed.

good to hear that.

Any word on whether it will be available in 219B?

Can the bottom half of V2 lego with top of V1?

Posting so I can follow the thread. Sorry.

It looks like more details are up on the Fireflies website

12 LEDs with lumens from 7000 up to 18000. The relevant bits:

D18 has really started a trend here

No SST-20 4000K? I guess he hasn’t be able to source the depleting FA3/FD2 tint bins because Mateminco and Lumintop bought the remaining limited supply for the MF01S and FW3A.

Don’t think 12x XP-L HI v3 5000K can do 14000 lumens with 3 cells because even in the D18, I only got 12+K lumens with the 18 XP-L HI 5D v2.

Wonder which osram emitters they’re using. I’m all for only 12 emitters using larger optics than 18 emitters using smaller optics.

same thing with the PL47. What updates do you think they will make with that one?

I really hope they will be reintroducing a new PL47 V2 with SST-20s 4000k.

Hopefully Jacky would share us some pictures of the new rot66 before sale starts.
Also, maybe some floodier optic as an option.

Hoping they stay with the stainless steel tailcap for gen2 as well. It’s one of the reasons why I like the original ROT66. SS tailcap and bezel + ha3 7075 aluminum makes it a brick.

Yes same here, those 3 points are what makes this light unique.

I’m hoping for an improved switch design.

It look just like the previous gen rot 66 with 12 led.Comes with extra flood beed.
I wonder the color scheme they have for this gen 2.
