*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

I’ve never used them but they sell electrically conductive epoxies that you can use to attach wires connecting the pads together or maybe even use the epoxy to directly connect the pads.

Personally I would just use solder to connect the pads since it’s not all that difficult to do .

Please add me for 1 - honestly need a good lantern more than anything else!

Maybe you should be put in charge.

@Brett, it will be coming with 3000k and 5000k LEDs, and you can mix tints to get CCTs from 3000-5000k.

From what ive seen these lanterns will cost around $50 USD each if thats correct. So thats around $74 Australian each for me.

Can anyone tell me how much in USD i will be saving by ordering them on here now compared to the normal price they will be when on the market for the public ?? wondering if i should order another one now or wait till sometime in the future.

Thanks..

Interested in 2

I don’t think anyone knows what the future pricing will be so if it were me I’d just place my order based on what was needed rather than wait and hope for a lower price.

The group-Buy here will be the best discount for the new lantern, as the retail price after will likely be higher.

Please put me down for another 2 (total of 4)

Shhhhhhhh you’re making us convicts sound stoopit

With these 2 we’re at 1,999!!! Who wants to be the one to get us to 2,000?

@ SIGShooter

I`ll take the small step, put me in for 1 more, that will make 3 total. :person_facepalming: :smiling_imp:

Got you in for 3 :+1:

Thanks

Awesome.

:+1: Thank you. :+1:

Here are the additions for this week and the files linked in post #1 have been updated. Kudos to everyone for getting us up to 2,000 lanterns!!! The number to the left of each name is just a sequence number that is automatically attached to each addition into my table. However some users are no longer active so that accounts for the difference between the current active count of 2,000 and what were the total adds (active members plus non-active members).

Thanks

How difficult is it to access the MCPCB if I want to switch out the 3000K LED with a 2700K for instance?

Very easy to mod & swap LEDs.

After some restless nights of ‘deciding’ after finding this thread on Reddit, I finally made an account to post that I would be interested in TWO lanterns!

the best decision you ever made, for sure.

Is it already settled which LEDs are used in the production model? If I remember correctly the latest plan was to use Samsung LH351D Leds for 5000K and Luminus SST-20 for 3000K, is that still correct?
