WTS/GB: NICHIA 219B NVSL219BT-V1 R9080 EMITTERS! sw45k, sw40, sw35, sw30

Looks like MTN got a very good batch of 219C. I wonder if the ones in the FW3A is from the same batch. So far noone tested the 219C on the FW3A. I’m going to order one from Illumn when they get the new colors in and test.

In for 10X sw27!

Andy can you please edit my request for sw27 to 10 instead of 5?
Thx

Done. Thanks for helping us get that much closer to possibly making this happen :slight_smile:

Over half way there for sw27 group buy. Spread the word! :smiley:

Hello,
I want to purchase
7pcs - sw40 d220 L2 r9080

PM sent

I would like 8 4000k sw40 d220 L2 r9080.

Adding group buy option for the Nichia 219c sm4050e 4000k below BBL

Please let me know if you’re interested and how many pieces.
Still awaiting pricing but I suspect it to be around $3 each.

Well, I “need” some of those, too. Put me down for 10, please.

Any chance of sm4550e 4500k instead/also?

I’ll find out. I imagine this would also be a popular option?

I’d be happy with any 4500K bin below BBL :beer:

I’m down for 7x 219C SM4050E & 7x SW45K & 3x SW30

Diference between sm4550e and sm4070e ?

I prefer the 4000K version because it looks so sunlike at night but I would be down with 4500K rosy version also. Any chance you can get the 4070E, because with the reflector or optic on, it will likely bump the duv above the BBL like I’ve seen with the SST-20 FA3/FD2 tints? I think Clemence was selling the 4070E version previously.

^ good point, similarly for 4500K - sm4570e would be preferable.

sm4550e = 4500K 5-step MacAdam ellipse

sm4070e = 4000K 7-step MacAdam ellipse

What’s the appeal of being below the BBL? I know that means it’s rosy, but why intentionally move away from the BBL?

For me I actually like it slightly below BBL since I’m not a fan of the heavily rosy tints. It’s more of a subjective matter but I think for most people, yellow and green (above BBL) is considered ugly so moving in the opposite direction is desirable.

When I edit photos, I find that adding just a slight tint of red usually makes the photo look better. Of course this is also subjective.
I usually just associate that warmer tones as being more pleasing so maybe it’s a psychological effect. Think sunsets vs midday photos in landscape photography for example.
