this is not inflation last year they went up from 1.89% to 2.49% that is 31.7%

its strange no regulation is reacting on Paypal and Ebay using their market force to raise prices as they like

Thanks for your numbers, but I didn’t want to do an economics lesson; I just wanted to say that the increase in costs does not affect the concept of “capitalism” which is able to discharge both inflation and other increases. Faced with an increase in costs, it is not capitalism that is weak in resources to cope with it

To discuss the actions of such large companies, I believe that one must have “points/key (or plans, or position) of strength”.
In this case the individual cannot do much unless he is himself an important “key strength”; you can join, perhaps by collecting signatures (https://www.ipetitions.com, for example) and then animate the discussion via “social media” (Facebook; whatsapp, etc. always for example); open #hastag on the subject of paypal price increases and create an audience that can induce Paypal to understand the states of discomfort of its users. Gathering the adhesions towards the collection of signatures, this is for me the best line to follow. Can work
To me PayPay is the safest (and expensive) way of paying, but it looks like PayPal is hiring.
And every time a new kid enters the block, he/she has a brilliant idea: let’s up the rates.
That leaves us to be as good as we can to duck the rates.
You don’t always HAVE to use PayPal. Sometimes big sellers do their own conversions.
However: comparing different conversion rates is not always as simple as it looks like.
If I pay a seller in dollars, PayPal will charge my bank account in EURO.
I know that BG and GB are cheaper for me if I choose to pay them in EURO directly.
There are a few other sellers out there that are worth trying for the same service.
If you really trust the seller, you can use your credit card en let them do the conversion.
And in the end there is the old Dutch expression: bitten by the cat or by the dog, what’s the difference.
It is not (always) perfect, but I think the system of pricing by supply and demand is the best.
Wanna hear a funny side effect?
Every time a big event is announced in NL, all kinds of shady buyers are computerised stockpiling tickets.
Tickets are sold out in a matter of minutes. But they can be bought: from resellers. For a few dollars more.
And as the date of the event comes near, the resell prices of these tickets go up. Through the roof!
This weekend there is Lowlands: a big open air festival in NL. Friday through sunday.
With a humongous line-up (including A$AP Rocky with his entire self defender entourage).
Now this: according to the weather forecast, visitors will be walking around ankle deep in mud.
And resell prices are down to 50%.
Being a chilly person myself, I don’t envy the visitors. But the fate of the resellers makes me smile.
(rumors are that some of these resellers are vaguely connected to the official ticket bureau)
I was in a conversation with a member here who wanted to pay for some Dc-fix .
Paypal wanted to charge him 2.50$ TO SEND ME 5$ friends and family because there was a currency conversion .He thought he was just sending me cash . I informed him that he needed to just make it a regular transaction ..he's buying something and I get hit with the fees . I explained it was like 12% and not a big deal for me to eat .65 cents. I also had the discussion about how I'd mistakenly sent money friends and family to a member here overseas so he didn't have to eat the fees and said some people just over pay..and that I like to do that myself at times .
We finished up our PM and he said oh by the way I tossed you an extra .70cents .
I thanked him ,stuck his package in the mail and went off to paypal to see what the exact numbers / fees were since I knew the rates had gone up .
I think the number was .52cents on $5. just a hair over 10% BUT ....he had made another transaction of .70 cents and they took more than half ?? Sorry I forget but it was close to 50% or more .
It's not the money it's the principle and something to remember .... Do all transactions in a single one not smaller ones

Speculation. The same thing battery rewrapping companies do by raising prices and usually perverting OEM specifications.
There are many cures available for the above phenomena: break their legs and ribs, hit their heads hard with a sledgehammer, go rampage with a baseball bat up their arses… Oh! Well, excuse me. The way a master does it: don't buy. You could also tell them to donate their benefits to some good NGO so they can balance their karma.
