I “ordered” my light a few days ago, and cancelled, like I was supposed to, and got an email that the price had been reduced. But, I was waiting to upload some money to PayPal. So, I didn’t complete the payment until today. Thanks to some of you guys for telling what to expect, I was able to do it without any fuss. But, after the PayPal page comes up, and payment is confirmed, then PayPal tries to hand over control back to the merchant. This ended in a dead page for me, with some text at the top. I closed the tab, and opened PayPal directly. The payment was registered there. Then, I opened AliExpress, and looked at my order. It said payment was being verified. So, a little glitch happened in the hand-back-to-merchant effort. But, it seems to have gone through. 
Hopefully. 
I guess I’ll find out.

When I look at the tracking link on AliExpress, it says mine has left the country of origin, but when I look up the tracking number on 17track and USPS, they both say the label is created, but the carrier hasn’t added it to their system. I guess I’ll find out in a month or two whether I have a D80v2 or not,.
Something to check... for anyone who ordered (at regular price due to confusing web site) but canceled, review your fund balance. It looks like I cancelled properly and no shipment was made but the $37.+ is charged at the moment. I trust it will be resolved but will send an inquiry to Aliexpress. Second attempt went fine.

Good to hear everything went smooth now. On the weekend i will get the No Ano list from JAcky with all the ones that are left over. I will then contact the few ones and ask if they still want to order or if they want to give up their spot. When i get the answeres in a few days later i will stat contacting the ones on the inofficial list.
And we will talk about possible future project. When i have a few more infos i will let you guys know.
One possibility is a new led. Have you heard about a SST-70 
?
What about a new design of the triple they have F3X? Direct drive it with triple SST40 should be able to get 5500 lumens fairly easy with a good cell? Just need to make it beefier so it can handle heat properly.
