I'm Hoping This Deal Turns Out To Be A Steal(1st HID Purchase)

Price was right. I hope all goes well. The guy has 0 feedback. I normally am leary on that. But if the deal goes sour, I'll let Paypal do the rest.

These kinds of things almost never end well.

Good Luck though!! I'm pulling for you, could be the deal of the year.

Well I'm going to try and get another.

Thanks for the lead, I just snagged one myself. Now we wait & see if it's legit...

A new seller with 0 feedback selling multiple of these + some nice XM-L bike lights for very cheap prices.. "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is"

Anyways: Good luck to both of you. Maybe he's just trying to gain reputation.

Well I got outbid on 2 other ones. Oh well.

Yea one sold for $31 which was the very next auction after the one I bid on.

I would stay clear. I've been on Ebay for over 12 years and I've seen many examples of this behaviour. The new seller floods the system with great items at bargain prices. What looks suspect is selling multiple of the same high value items within a short time of each other. Looks to me like they want to make a few $1,000 and then leave. Sometimes you can get good bargains from ( 0 ) sellers but this one looks suspect. If they are legit, they have very bad selling practices.

I used to run an ebay business in the past with around 80 sales a month, not anymore.

I wouldn't go near it either but good luck.

It is just me, or really more people like buying expensive coins or metal piece these days?

Well like I said I will use paypal and file a dispute if I am frauded.

Good luck and let us know how it works out.

Side question for those who know: if you do paypal and if the seller's account is drained by the time you want a refund, are you better protected if you've funded the purchase directly from your credit card to paypal?

Paypal gets me my money usually within about 3-5 days after I file a dispute and then I esculate immediately to a claim. I always call them as well during this process. That let's them typically know that I'm for real. I take the action to them by letting them know they are speaking to me for real.

I have only had two Paypal trades go wrong. And both were paid by Master Card.

Never even bothered calling Paypal. Just called my CC company and had the charge reversed.

Paypal notified me that the money would be refunded after they investigated. But I already had the refund from my CC company.

And I will keep an eye on that company's feedback. If people seem to be satisfied I will be ordering one of the HID flashlights.

Whats the PayPal email address of the seller? Possibly if its legit it would be on other sites as well.

People usually don't come out of no where and start selling 100s of things for a loss at once.

Hi,

For what it's worth my experience is they can only get your money back via their account- no money in their account, no money to you.

By the way I acutally have one of these Yezl 50W lights- pretty good lights all round. I got mine from CN goods when they first came out on a special for CPF members- $107. I find it hard to believe these would be going out at these prices for what is a reliable HID. Very suspect indeed......

Welcome to BLF, oldmodman.

I got screwed by Paypal on a dispute I won also it was only for $5 bucks. That being said I couldn't resist and just bid on one of these I will use my credit card just in case.

You need to read this.

It's plain and simple.

Oh, yeah, I forgot that Paypal does it a little different (ie, better for the consumer) with ebay purchases...
