ACEBEAM K75 LED Searchlight Throw 2500meters 6300lumens Output Released

Yes you succeed.

Someone finally posted beam shots of a K75 on YouTube. It’s also the same guy who posted beam shots of K70 a few years ago. I’m not sure if it was more foggy that day, but the difference is astounding. My K70 got completely destroyed. Now I have to buy this light for pretty damn sure.

K70

K75

It is overexposed, but it does put out a very vivid and wide beam.

Also, I think somebody wanted to see high (2500 lumens) vs turbo (6300 lumens)? I got you covered:

WOW. The K75 is more focused than I thought. I like it! What is the distance?

Off-topic for the current thread… but this corded cap lamp can conceivably have the battery pack worn on a belt (battery pack cord length is at 1.4 meters)

~200m to river bank. At this medium range, I expected the TN40vn to shine… and it does, but the K75 is surprisingly close to the flood performance of the TN40vn at this range. The ROT66 nicely floods the foreground, but doesn’t quite light up 200m. Something like the MF01S is probably ideal in a scene like this.

Acebeam seems to advertise below the specs unlike all other flashlight brands. My K70 was measured at 470k cd as opposed to 422k that they posted. Have to respect that.

Astrolux on the other hand… Their MF02 is posted as 3k lumens/ 1.5km throw which is nowhere close to reality. Jokable brand.

Not all Acebeam advertise below spec. I remember there was at least one or two (don’t remember which model) that was advertised a bit above specs. While some others like the Acebeam H15 was advertised below spec and the TK16 Oslon is spot on per my own testing. Olight seems generally spot on and sometimes below spec also.

I think the problem with Astrolux and the less premium manufacturers is that they don’t have equipment to measure lumens so they just guestimate using the emitter spec sheet with the assumed amps. I remember reading Hakelite has to send their lights out for third party testing so they don’t bother to test all their lights. Sofirn also don’t seem to have testing equipment. Their C8F 18650 was spec’ed 400 lumens less than what I tested but the C8F 21700 was spec couple hundred lumens higher than what I tested.

That’s fair. But when a light outputs at just over 2/3rd of what’s advertised that’s almost fraudulent.

well but u shouldnt go to hard over a budget brand vs a more expensive one like acebeam… kinda unfair to compare like that…

Astrolux seems to make good lights. All I ever hear are good things about MF01/s, FT03, and MF04/s.

The lights themselves are generally pretty good for the price. The ratings are just usually inflated. If you buy it knowing that then no real issue with most of them that I have tried.

Does anyone know a good retailer to buy one of these suckers if you reside in Canada? Flashlightworld is usually my go-to, but I’m growing impatient with them at the moment cause they don’t know when K75 will be available.
