Just pledged for both of these. I wasn’t going to buy it but was convinced by the well written description. Also glad there’s tail standing otherwise wouldn’t have considered it.
Strangely the Kickstarter page does not allow you to enter shipping address. I entered my address along with my name so hopefully they will know the address to send it to.
bassoverflow is correct. That survey that is sent is the backer kit after funds are collected. This ensures Foursevens ships exactly what everyone ordered, and has added any extras thru the backer kit. Filling that out allows You to change where You'd like the rewards to be shipped to also. This should happen sometime after 02:59AM EDT(11:59PM PDT) this Wednesday. The Backer kit is active for a few weeks to give everyone the chance to fill it out prior to Octobers shipping.
A few things need to happen before we can kick off fulfillment.
Here's a quick rundown:
First: Kickstarter needs two weeks (from the campaign close) to collect and transfer the campaign funds, and follow up with any Backers with credit card issues. Kickstarter calls this the "quiet period" but we'll be full speed ahead.
Second: we have to find out and where we need to ship your rewards and if you want to add any extra items. We’ll send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information when the quiet period ends.
Third: We've used BackerKit to manage all our previous Kickstarter projects. It's easy, secure, and makes sure we get you the right rewards as fast as possible. We love it and you will too.
Survey = Pledge Confirmation + Add on Items
*** Right now we are planning to send surveys on September 3rd,*** but we’ll give you a heads-up 24 hours before so that you can watch for it. You don’t need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email contains a link to your personal survey. It is important to submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards. We can't ship your rewards if we don't know where to send them
You'll also be able to pledge for additional "add-on" items like additional Quark lights, Quark accessories, batteries/chargers, and other Foursevens lights!
Making Changes to Your Pledge
If you need to change your survey responses, modify add-on items, or update your shipping information, you can click the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)
If you prefer, you can contact me directly and give me your information, but answering your survey help us get your rewards out to you faster. BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments. Basically if you ask us to take your shipping info over email, we are working on email instead of shipping rewards. You will not be able to add any extra items if you opt out of BackerKit.
We will email the survey based on the information below:
We will send the confirmation email to the address you have registered on your Kickstarter account.
If you used your Facebook credentials to log in to your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link is sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.
Again, thanks for all your support. We can’t wait to send your rewards! Cheers, Jason & the Prometheus Team
Today is the last day of the "quiet period" required by Kickstarter. We are ready to send out surveys pending the funds transfer. The quiet period ensures all of the pledges are processed and gives people time to resolve any credit card issues. If there was a CC problem, Kickstarter will have contacted you over the last two weeks.
Next Steps:
Once we verify the funds, surveys will go out to a small subset of backers. This is to ensure we didn't forget anything in the setup process and to make sure everything is clear. Once we get a certain amount of feedback (and verify our setup) we'll send out 100% of the surveys. The lag time shouldn't be more than a day or two.
I'm clarifying this point because people will start commenting that they got their survey and others will comment they have not. This is part of the process to ensure you are just as happy with your backer experience as the final product ;)
The Survey:
We use BackerKit to collect your shipping info an to confirm your Kickstarter pledge. You'll also be able to view and pledge for "add on" items via the survey. We are friends with the folks over at BackerKit and we've used them to fulfill/manage all of our 6 previous campaigns. You will not receive a Kickstarter survey. I only point this out for folks who have backed other projects that did not use BackerKit to manage their fulfillment.
Using BackerKit is not a requirement, but it makes our life (and yours) a lot easier. Please consider that if we need to collect your pledge confirmation manually, we are spending time doing email and not getting shipments out the door :) I and your fellow backers thank you for your cooperation!
Hey folks. Hope everyone is well! Let's get down to business.
BackerKit Invites
Many of you have already received the email and verified your pledge. Thanks! If you haven't already, please do that as soon as you can. This helps with a few things.
1) This is how I collect your shipping address so I can ship your reward!
2) Filling out your Backerkit survey is the only way I can get an accurate count on how many items we need to ship, and we need an accurate count to make sure we have enough stock to avoid delays. I will literally be pulling my hair out until everyone gets their information updated, and I can't afford to lose much more hair.
3) Completing your survey ASAP also means you and your fellow backers will receive your rewards in the most timely manner. Please don't wait :)
4) If you didn't get the survey, please check your spam filter and also note that the email will go to whatever address you have on file with Kickstarter. If you changed your registered email address *after* you backed this campaign, the email will go to the original address, not the new address.
5) If you have any questions or concerns about anything on the BackerKit platform, please email them directly via support@backerkit.com
Many thanks to the 91% of you who have completed your BackerKit surveys! If you have not completed your survey, please do so ASAP. You would have received several emails already, so if you can't find them you can email support@backerkit.com and they can help you out.
We will lock down all confirmed surveys this Wednesday, charge your cards for add-ons, and begin shipping Thursday!
So, this is your last chance to update your survey with any add-on items. It's a great chance to pick up accessories like batteries and chargers at a discount. Thanks so much for your support and we are looking forward to getting your rewards out to you!

We're delighted to begin shipping out Quark flashlights to Backers of our Kickstarter campaign, which was oversubscribed by over 700%. Here's some of the early reviews by new Quark owners.
"I got my QK16L today! Fantastic job! I've handled literally thousands of Quarks and I'm happy how this turned out. Beefy indestructible clip, improved UI, and a super smooth reflector with very little artifacts with great color rendition. The reds really pop! Good job guys!"
"Fantastic Mklll!"
"Received my Quark QK16L today!!! So happy!"
If you didn't get in on the Kickstarter action you can still pre-order the new Quark in one of two styles:
The Quark Aspheric Lens Kit is HERE.
I've been working on this in the background for over a year. The aspheric lens kit allows you to convert your Quark from a reflector-based light to an aspheric-based light. The white Delrin reflector (machined in-house) helps generate some spill, allowing you to see nearby surroundings while throwing a ton of light down range. This is the tightest beam you can get in a package this small.
Note: This kit will work with older Quarks (non MKIII) if you can manage to separate the head. They are glued shut and can be difficult (or nearly impossible) to remove.
After a month+ hiatus, Ben & I are back with a bang. And we're cleaning the refuse of that bang off our windshields with a certain product that we've hyped in this "Life Hacks" episode.
Winter is coming people. Gear up. We wouldn't steer you wrong.
