I didn’t say I want to install an optic. I want to install a quad MCPCB and a spacer, together with a lens and some film to diffuse the light a bit.

Simon would you consider manufacturing a P60 style host in 21700 format? The design in 18650 was flooded on the market. But now good host have nearly dried up and no one every built it in 21700 format. If a host was built to your quality standards I’d replace every P60 host I own now. SF compatible except tail cap, as body diameter is increased to 28-29mm’s.
Kiriba-ru can make spacers. He just needs specs. And his prices are reasonable!

The M21A has the same narrow beam and weak flood light as the C8+?
As far as I can see, if the beam pattern is the same, the brightness is doubled compared to the C8+ (8x7135), which I could be interested in 
Yes, because it is basically the same light with another name (due to the 21700 cell)
The output will be more thanx to the SST40 led and more powerful driver.

What size is the head?
I have some 20mm and some 25mm round stock aluminum i can turn into a spacer. Just need to cut it the right height and drill a hole in the middle.

The main thing I don’t have in there is the indentation in the pill itself - as noted in this thread on /r/flashlight , he made a spacer with a cutout for the MCPCB and an extrusion to fit in the existing MCPCB “hole”.

Kiriba-ru made me 2 versions of the S11 spacer based on the dimensions posted to the Reddit thread. One was pure copper, the other was a copper core with a brass support ring to keep the optic in place.
Dare I ask how much it cost?
