You guys might get someone to do a run of triple spacers. After that the mod is doable with some basic mod skills.

Payment for 1x RRT-01 sent via paypal. Thanks again.

Good idea! I look forward to someone doing that, if triples make people happy. I actually prefer singles atm… but both is better… lol

Day late

sent you a pm

How are we looking Jon?
All good?

Im glad you asked for an update, because I also want to know the tracking numbers for the packages and there has been silence since this preshipment communication from the seller:

on August 29th, I received a message from the seller, that the lights

“will be shipped out today”

.

I have just now emailed to ask the Seller for the tracking numbers.

Last time it took about a week for the lights to get airborne out of Oz and about another week to reach their destinations (guessing from vague memory)

I think the Kangaroos with the mail pouch were on Walkabout, and packages destined for Europe took a couple of hops to go from Queensland to Syndney, before boarding the airplane.

Im guessing you may have your light by Sept 14th.

Wow, well that’s fast if it comes by Sep14th.

Thx!

Update
tracking info has been sent to the people receiving packages direct from OZ
and I have tracking for the lights coming to me for reship CONUS

As of Sept 4th, the packages are in possession of the Kangaroo Post and are making their way across the outback, one hop after another…

Please be patient, staff has a full pouch, and they take long lunch breaks.

btw, I want to warn everyone to be careful not to overtighten the screws when you install the pocket clip.

I had two reports of stripped screw holes on the previous group buy. One of them was mine, and it happened because I attempted to make the clip have a stronger bite… I bent it more, on purpose.

that was a bad idea… in order to get the screw in, I had to press on the clip that I overbent, and I ended up spinning the screw a few times, before it started to bite, thereby destroying the first few threads

before that, the screw holes were fine.

that clip is now attached with JB weld, note to self, dont expect to unscrew it

the other report was from someone that bought a resold RRT-01, in stock configuration, from the last group buy. The second buyer complained that the screw holes were stripped. (the lights arrive with the clip uninstalled, the second buyer installed the clip, and then complained). I believe the stripped screw holes were caused by overtightening during the installation of the clip…

the holes are in aluminium, the screws are steel, so yes, it IS possible to strip the threads if you overtighten.

do not copy my bad idea to bend the clip in a way that makes the clip holes not sit flush over the screw holes and then try to make the screw pull the clip flat…

I went back to a stock clip, not my overbent one, and it works perfectly well to retain the light… dont screw it up…
