XTAR PB2S

I walk the rice paper gently.

So where did you get yours? I see Illumination Supply now has them for $17.52

The XTAR store.

Thanks

If anyone’s interested, I did a charge comparison against a wall charger and another power bank.

@UserM4 thanks!

The PB2S is already out of stock on Aliexpress. The owner told me the red ones should be available next week, the black ones will be delayed.

It is back in stock!

Just ordered a res one. Thanks for the heads up!

Does someone have first impressions of the magnetic latch? Are the magnets strong enough to hold it securely in place even when tossed in a backpack?

Yeah, you need to actually pry into the crease between door and body to open it. It’s not likely to just pop open on its own.

Illumn has been advertising QC 3.0 AND PD charging, but the official specs don’t mention a 12v output. Judging from the OP, I suppose it doesn’t actually support PD?

Check out this review as it talks about the 12v output

The cons are high parasitic drain, inaccurate display, batteries must be able to handle 2A charging

that’s not all the cons:

5V-2,7A
9V-1,7A
12V-1,2A

Not full compatible with Quick Charge 3.0

I knew I forgot something.

It appears they did indeed. HKJ has now posted his review .
I’ve posted my review on my site as well.

The Rofis protected 26650 (69.6mm) fits, butt the Rofis protected 21700 (75mm) does not.

Yep, that’s how I charged my Cometa in a pinch.

Using the scientific miracle of a small wad of Al foil, I was wanting to charge a 14500 yesterday, too, but stopped when I saw it was charging at close to 2A. Didn’t want to cook it. Laptop port, too, so was hoping it’d be limited to 500mA.
