The BLF A6 has ruined me!

what the hell ?? send them a pic what u got, if they refuse just do a paypal dispute for goods wrong recived…

that is funny, i almost never use the long-press to step down
i find that it is just as fast to go up 5, as it is to go down 1, gets to the same place and you don;t have to do the fiddly timing
going up 1 step is lightning fast—not even a click or a half press, just kind of a tap will do it

also since it does not go to a blinky mode if you click really fast, it makes going up 5 faster and less thinking, than going down 1

wle

I ended up with memory mode enabled and the 4 output mode.

This light is only deployed when the smaller lights won’t handle the task as well, or I just want to look at the beautiful 3D beam.

Edited to add that what I miss in this configuration is direct access to turbo from off.

Actually the vast majoriy of people on BLF don't have problems with Banggood.

Do you think it's really necessary to file a complaint with your state’s attorney general?

You sound like you're full of drama.

Maybe they got confused, and thought “EDC” meant “Economical [read: cheap] Dog Collar”.

BTW, if you want to be taken seriously, here's some advice:

Don't spam the same annoying message six times all over BLF.

I mean, that’s the 1st time I’ve personally heard that someone got the completely wrong item.

I once got an item from a different section of the site, which was related, and Banggood was quick to correct the error.

I had to chime in. Although I agree that many Chinese business practices are what is us westerners would call … horrible…, ill say I’ve probably had a couple dozen purchases from Banggood, and all have been great ( less shipping time). Just one man’s perspective.

Check this vid out for an expat’s (not me) opinion … why there is no toilet paper in china… people steal it …. https://youtu.be/np4OwQaJItY

Amen. What a noise-maker this new member has turned out to be. Just file a claim through PayPal or your CC company already…geeshhhh…no need to post it on every forum category.

I once ordered two knives from a website that I think went out of business.

I don't remember the name of the site.

Anyways, they sent me the wrong two knives.

I got the runaround with customer service, but got a full refund through PayPal.

I don't think I threw a big fit about it.

These things happen from time to time, though I don't usually get the runaround from customer service.

Usually I just state the facts, maybe take some photos, and they resolve the situation without me having to get PayPal or my credit card company involved.

I like the A6 so much, I bought a couple of the driver boards and retrofitted a few C2’s and even replaced a 8x7135 triple

Can’t go wrong with the ui

To this day I still carry an A6 in my pocket…it serves me well

If you want an instant BLF A6 Turbo, just throw in a Luxeon V…. With some fat springs of course.

I just wish the BLF A6 UI could have moonlight on 4-level output setting. That’s why I ended up swapping the driver. Moonlight plus 6 modes are just too much for me.

Does the Luxeon V work well in a tube light? I would assume a lot of heat?

A lot of heat for a lot of output. I’m getting over 2000 at around 7A on mine. On lower modes the heat isn’t an issue, just like the stock XP-L. The Luxeon V is a very efficient LED. Oh, and you get a great tint too in the 4000K version.

That sounds fantastic.

The BLF A6 was my first ever quality flashlight. I still think they are great for the money but I haven’t tried many other 18650 lights because I haven’t had to.

One issue I have is I don’t really like having the button on the side of lights, I prefer the tail switches.

My oldest light is my BLF A6. I also like to not spend a ton and I like good bang for my buck performance. There are other lights out there you might like though that cost even less than the BLF A6. If you want an even smaller pocket light, look into the Lumintop Tool AA or the Sofrin SF-14. They’re the same style light (tube light, tail switch, single LED) but in AA size. I like to use a 14500 cell for the extra performance. But my tool aa has been my most carried light lately due to the very small size but still great performance (650 lumens for the tool, 550 for the sofirn). Usually that amount is enough for me. Both of these lights can be had cheaper than the BLF a6, but prices vary…I got the tool on sale for $13ish and the sofirn for $14 with a battery included. Also, I got an 18350 tube for my BLF A6, if you want to make the light shorter and lighter. There are also plenty of aaa lights out there for cheap, but I tend to like the 14500/aa size more as for me it’s a great size/performance ratio.

Welcome to this ‘madness’ :smiling_imp:
