20mm indeed, just like your regular C8. Also there's no thermal paste, but some white thermal glue.. (and the 2 screws holding the MCPCB)

Haven't tried swapping the emitter so far, but that thermal glue doesn't look so strong. It's more like an old solidified thermal paste and it kinda chips like a very hard and old piece of cheese.
