What it is the best (brightest) P60 drop-in

I am looking for the brightest / Best all around p60 drop-in for my L2T..... I know new lights come out all the time that's why I am posting this, and also under $30

Thanks for all the help....

Where have you been?

The Manafont Ultrafire 3-mode drop-in for $16.21 is highly rated.

Very bright, 3 modes with no strobe/SOS modes. Good for single-cell-only use. Biggest let-down is PWM on Medium and Low modes. I am VERY happy with mine.

What keltex78 said .

But for the discriminating dropin buyer , a custom dropin from E1320 is better .

I Would recommend the XM-L U2 P60 Drop-in from Intl O. I Just received mine today and Im happy with the purchase, will be getting another one once I have funds for it. I would only warn you to pay additional for the registered mail as it seems that shipping is faster that way

*Constant current, constant brightness

*Thermal management, overheating protection 55-60C

*Low voltage protection 2.7V

*Modes:

100% - 35% - 5% (1.5A & 2.5A)

100% - 35% - 3% (3A)

* Dimensions (mm): 31.5 total length, 22mm reflector height, 26.5 reflector diameter

You also have choice of Max current and led tint

2.5A (720Lm)
3A (820Lm)

Led Tint

Neutral White - T6 3C
Warm White - T3 7B
Cool White - U2 1B ( +$0.99 )

That's what I always heard was this one one but you never know how new things come out everyday... Thanks guys.

My question is : Why buy the 3A for sustained use if the lumens are going to drop down to the same level as the 2.5A ones fairly quickly but still use more power ?

For all the research I've read it seems like heat really does make a huge difference in output . My Manafont T6 dropin probably loses a lot of light fast , it's just that I can't tell with my eyes .

Is there a real advantage driving these emitters that hard ?

You won't do any better than one from E1320. Better than one from Nailbender and custom programmed, too!

I only use high for quick look-around blasts of light. For typical use, low or medium is used. It's nice having that momentary bright wall of light when needed.

I have found that I really like this driver from DX...

...because it always comes on in Medium (no mode memory) while the second click gives you Low, but the third goes to the Direct-Drive Ultra-Blast (tm).

...Still, I think I want to put my Nanjg 105C in my Ultrafire Drop-In to give me a bit of additional runtime instead of a 4+A Direct Drive High in my P60...

I think he goes by "King" now. :glasses: Although some, not me, have suggested this acronym D.I.C.K. I believe the "K" still stands for "king", however.

Word on the street is I can make some good ones.

D.I.C.K.

If you don't like blinky modes then the Manafont one is the best imo. I have 3 or 4 of them.
