NIGHTWATCH NI40 SBT-90-GEN2

Ooft, can you edit your image links? Add in a width100%, like in the image I’ve put below:

It’ll make it far easier to see on smaller screens.

oh boy…btw the link given above is some kind of discussion or forum like us on Blf. You guy should go click that link. Its chinese website though but, I use chrome translator. Some of them mention, mass production should be after the festival over.

here what I find most interesting….

is that DD driver, or CC driver ?

Sweet.

Thanks for posting that. The SBT90.2 is most impressive for sure. Seems like Nightwatch wants to test every single emitter in that host. Fortunately, it’s a really good host and I really like the heat shedding.

The SBT90.2 draws a lot of current, so I guess the NI40 will get hot very quickly unless there’s a stepdown in place. Which leads us to another intriguing topic: What UI and what regulation is in place? Is there a time-triggered stepdown and/or a thermal stepdown? In the latter case, at what temperature threshold will the stepdown be triggered? Does the NI40 with SBT90.2 start on maximum like the Nightwatch NS53A (XHP50.2 3V 6.500K), presented here?

Do you have any lumen/intensity numbers?

Where on earth did you get your hands on a SBT90.2

I see they wrote the sbt90g2 led itself is expensive than the flashlight host Ni40 :open_mouth: idk if that true…hmm

If this beast can reach 1.2km to 1.5km and have able on turbo for atleast 3mins, I will buy it! :smiling_imp:

The “tunnel” beam seem to me a lot wider than the current the wider Xhp50.2, dedome which really makes it great!

I had vary in mind, only Niwalker and 1st to introduce sbt90g2. I wonder where are the rest brand, I bet some of them are really good in making a throw light become a performances! I mean, pushing the light development towrd the edge of its limits. As like before, we see convoy and astrolux. I not sayin it bad, but what i trying to say is, competition is where the best light is born. Hehe. Peace!!

$34.00 USD each X 3 plus $30.00 USD for DHL shipping….

Is that from the Chinese company lantend?

I emailed them and plan to get a couple.

The head is nowhere big enough to hit 1.2km. Need something the size of an FT03 for that. Probably will be a bit under 1km.

Yep wendy@lantend.com

To give an idea for comparison, the Acebeam X65 mini is rated at 492,000 candela = 1,403 meters throw

Oh acebeam k75 was a sbt90 g2…opppss :disappointed: . nvr seen it. I often to neglect “expensive” section… but, image above clear showing a different, based on the “tunnel” beamshot. K75 has smaller hotspot than ni40.

Updates?

at first it look like the Ni40 outthrow the X65 mini, but nope

look at the brightness on the house, the X65 mini is clearly winner

I’d like to see more beamshots of this light if possible.
