Sorry, you are right. They have two 12mm FET drivers. One is in stock and the other isn’t. I must have missed that one. Last time I looked at them they were out of stock, but it’s been a while.
I recently received a high > low version, ordered from Amazon since I was already putting in another order.
I would normally strongly dislike this mode order, but I wanted a small light to carry at work for unexpected inspection needs. Basically, all I need for that is 50-100 lumens as conveniently accessible as possible. I tried just using the light on the expensive phone they issued me, but it doesn’t cut it.
The C01s is perfect for this need.
The tint looks ok - definitely better than the Fenix E05 I was using before, and high CRI. There is ring around the beam when staring at a white wall, but so far I don’t notice it in use.
The only flaw is that over time the moment comes that when trying to twist the light off, instead the bezel comes off. I know it is blasphemy, but the bezel threads need a drop of glue.
No, you should not do that, already tried that, the bezel will reach so far over the pill that when twisting the light on, the bezel will touch the battery tube before the driver does, so it will not light anymore.
I’ve had this happen on both of mine. Stuck on in FET until I got pliers to get pill out. Can’t tighten body too much or else bezel will give in first like you say. I sort of agree but would never be the first to mention it
