Odds are very good, but it depends on what you mean by “fixing” it. They are a company and their margins on items are small. Luckily they can ship items pretty cheaply. It is crazy expensive for you to ship to them. Especially if customs adds an extra $90 fee on top of your $30 or $40 shipping cost. So depending on the item it’s cheaper for you to keep it. Typically they will try to “fix” the problem as cheaply as possible. First they ignore you a bit hoping you will go away. Be persistent. Next they will offer some type of monetary compensation. Maybe store credit. Be persistent. Eventually they will offer to the send correct item or just the correct part of the item (like a flashlight head with the correct tint if they sent you the wrong color). This is usually fine for the customer and the company saves a little extra money by not sending a whole light (smaller and lighter box means cheaper shipping costs for them). Sometimes they have to ship a complete light. This really hurts a company that makes small margins.
Keep in mind a lot of Chinese companies, and companies in general, use this practice. Those customers who are not persistent might give up or accept lesser compensation which adds up to the company saving hundreds or thousands of dollars monthly. It is sucky for the customer who wants to be treated right, but money is the big factor for them.
Once you know their tricks it’s easier to be persistent and demand the problem be fixed in an acceptable manner. It might take a few weeks so be prepared for that.
4 out my 6 orders shipped out last night/this morning. Interestingly, on those 4, I purchased the ‘priority mail’ option, whereas the 2 still backordered lights I left on the default shipping which is still something like ‘Air Parcel Register’.
So, I guess they’ve hurried to ship those who upgraded their shipping for 50 cents, and will eventually get to those orders left with the default shipping option.
My Gun Metal 5000 shipped out today USA Priority Mail. No tracking number as yet. Itll get here when it gets here. Seems BG leaves a lot to be desired with their inventory and shipping status. My order showed as backordered yesterday. Estimated delivery here to Massachusetts is 11/1/19. It’ll be a surprise when it shows up. Until then my Shockli 5500 will be waiting patiently…
It doesn’t matter if the battery can run sustained 20A. It will never do that because the flashlight will heat up and have to step down after a few minutes.
BTW, HKJ did test the Shockli 5500 and it can sustain 20A until full discharge.
This black model that they sell on bangood and other sites?
Could you put graphs at 20A?
I haven’t found any graph of the 2019 model.
Of all the graphics that exist, that is, Shockli IMR26650 5500mAh (Black) 2017, Golisi 4300 protected, samsug 40T, etc. the battery that loses the least voltage in turbo mode is the Samsung 40T which means more lumens in turbo mode, obviously.
It also maintains a higher voltage throughout the entire discharge with 25 , 20 , or less amps.
Yes. That is the cell.
2019 model is same as 2017 model.
Here is 10, 20 and 30 amp. (I already had this picture uploaded)
The 30T is more powerful. I see you have a way to measure lumens and are trying to squeeze out the maximum lumens possible? A 30T would be the best, but most average folks don’t care about the very max lumens, they want high lumens and longer runtime. The 5500mah is a nice cell for this.
The aux LEDs can, but I’m not sure about the switch. It might be on the same circuit or it might be seperate. We might have to wait until someone actually receives one to know for sure.
I don’t know the exact diameter of the mf01 mini, but the Olight R50 hoster fits all of my current 26650 lights. It’s a rigid design which makes holstering fast and one handed. You can add some foam or a spacer in the bottom for your short lights so it doesnt drop down too far. I think I paid $11 shipped for mine.
The Convoy C8 holster is pretty flexible. You can fit 26650 flashlights inside, if necessary even a Nightwatch NI40. I don’t own the EC01 holster so I can’t say for sure.
Best option when dealing with BG is to pay with PayPal and hope that Paypal will reverse the charge.
I had a problem with BG earlier this year and this was the route I had to take to get my money back when they simply cancelled my order but refused to refund me. Frankly, if anyone pulls this sort of garbage with me then I’ll think long and hard about dealing with them again. As such, I still haven’t ordered this light simply because it is being sold by BG.
On the other hand, I very recently had a vendor selling on Aliexpress ship me the wrong item (similar but not what I had ordered) and Aliexpress was very quick to dismiss my claim. I was persistent and they issued a refund. I found the initial dismissal to be extremely irritating since I’ve actually had good experiences with Aliexpress and have probably spent thousands of dollars there over the past few years.
