I think some people need to chill out and reflect upon things. First of all Sofirn is the ones making the decisions and not the LT team. It’s their decision to make the Amazon codes single-use and not the LT team. People also have the option of buying from Ebay or AliExpress. Sofirn is aware that many people may want to wait until batch 2 so that’s not going to be a surprise to them. They are currently in production for the second batch and it’s not as if they are going to stop at batch 1 if not all of them get sold.
I’m more than happy to send out more PM’s if someone is willing to handle any issues arising from that. I will also say that handling the interest list along with the associated programming for all the PM’s is not be as simple as some people might think.
Assuming batch 2 doesn’t have the color variations, what do we do with our codes if we want to wait for LT1 colors to go into production? It sounds like they will expire before Sofirn can produce the green and gold versions.
Oh, I wasn’t aware of that cause the code provided to me states lantern ONLY. So I thought I would need to get a different code to get one with batteries.
I have an issue. I’ve already posted my question back to Sofirn using the PM they originally sent my code to. But, I’ve been waiting for an answer and I’m getting just a little bit impatient, so I’ll post it here as well.
I received an Amazon discount code for ordering one LT1 lantern. I’m expecting to get my other two codes later. Since I have a balance in my PayPal account that I’d like to spend, I decided to try using eBay to purchase a lantern instead. As some of you will remember, Sofirn made some lanterns available at the Amazon store, some at eBay, and some at AliExpress. I used the official instruction, which was to use the eBay “Make an Offer” link to request the GB price, and leave a comment with my BLF user ID. After that, Sofirn was supposed to agree to the price and proceed with the sale. I checked back on my eBay account a short while later, and my offer was rejected. The seller had noted that I was given an Amazon code by PM and I should use that to purchase my LT1. I don’t really have a lot of extra money to spend right now. I was really expecting to be able to use PayPal, where I have a balance available which is enough to purchase my lanterns. Is there any possibility of buying through Amazon and still paying with PayPal? Amazon doesn’t have PayPal as a payment option, do they?
I actually got two PM’s from Sofirn for lanterns without batteries. I replied requesting a code for a lantern WITH batteries, and then sent it promptly. Just placed my Amazon order, all set.
