550kcd+ Emisar D1Sv2 coming this month!

Indeed it does! I flashed Andúril onto my modded EagleEye X6R as soon as you added dual-switch support.

It’s still my favorite pocketable thrower because of the dual switches and how Andúril works with them. :+1:

I would love a tail switch on my D1S but haven’t found a tailcap with matching threads.

TK, please let Hank know how well Andúril works with two switches.

I am sitting on a modded GT mini by Vin.
600 lumen or something, 300 kcd… the throw is most impressive for a light this size.

I guess I am getting this new light, or maybe see if Vin can up it to 600-650 kcd…
truly wonderful times

SBT90G2 is an expensive led, so it’s understandable he won’t make it an option

and more over, using that LED only make it brighter, not thrower, which is not the target of emisar d1s

I don’t see why the SBT90G2 is hyped that much, just because it’s a new LED ?

Everything is a matter of finding the right combination of host, driver and emitter, just like Hank does with this updated D1sV2 which should be really good according all specifications.

begs a 21700 body

Buy this one and transplant the internals into a Convoy L21A host, which has a 10 mm larger reflector and a 21700 tube.

Edit, my bad :person_facepalming:
I thought i was posting in the nightwatch NI40 thread

Well if you all are going to cream and dream…LEP with Fixed aspheric with RLT/wavien collar (wonder if Vinh can do this?) for under a $1,000.00 dollars…

Any idea on what the pricing will be?

Sounds like it might be a good option for a rifle-mounted shooting light, assuming it has stiff springs at both ends of the battery to prevent recoil disconnect. I’m definitely interested.

Something that complicated with LEP and RLT collar will require a manufacturer like Microfire or Acebeam to do. I do wish someone will make one in the future. Probably can get 3+ MCD in a light of this size.

It’s probably too late to consider aspheric for this but maybe some small changes could allow a fixed aspheric version. Here’s hoping because there is very few new lights in this market and the “mid to large” reflector market is beginning to get saturated with cheaper lights.

Well it out throws an XHP35 HI whilst putting out over double the lumens. It might seem expensive but in a 70mm light it should perform about as good as a TN40 v2 whilst being much smaller and cheaper. The only alternative I can see to the SBT90G2 is 4 2mm White flats.

Unfortunately according to Vinh they are actually not 5400 but about 6500. :frowning:

tick tock

what would a W1 version likely cost?

Can’t wait!

Any idea on colors? Surely he has to make cyan an option right?

Nope…He needs to finish what he started with the smooth green. I NEED a smooth green to finish my set! :rage:

I asked about this light…

“We are still working on it, it will still take some time before releasing.”

A bit vague… But I want it soon!

My guess would be $60-$65 but he hasn’t mentioned any prices yet. Could be more or could be less.

Bump, any news ?

nope
hoping for november now
