Ebay now charge tax, so….

I plan to give positive feedback when I receive my LT1. I just now left a feedback for the C01S I bought earlier. I had forgotten to do it before. :person_facepalming:

I will leave feedback once I receive the LT1.

I ordered the 2 pack of C01S - will leave feedback when I get them.

Sorry? What does that means? How can that happen? Are you selling something illegal or is eBay straight stupid?

I see no store, by the way; just a list of items for sale. When a user has a store, a Visit store link appears in its user profile. For example: Pargos electronic GmbH profile (this is just an example; this fellow has many Osram emitters, by the way).

No.

It’s just eBay being eBay.

Their automated system is probably seeing that an unknown seller is selling a lot of units.

Maybe they are thinking Sofirn is a scam? Lol.

Amazon too. Get used to it. Your state government is making them do this, and a lot of other states are following suit.

Yes. And before, the sales tax was meant to be calculated by the buyer, and paid yearly (look up “use tax”). The reason for the change is that nobody was actually paying their use tax, and it was problematic to attempt to enforce. It’s much easier to force online sellers (especially large ones) to charge the sales tax at time of sale.

I guess I’ll start buying through eBay instead of Aliexpress. It’s cool to see you’ve got the lantern BLF LT1 listed, showing 41 sales already!

The relevant laws changed …

“South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., 585 U.S. _ (2018), was a United States Supreme Court case in which the court held by a 5-4 majority that states may charge tax on purchases made from out-of-state sellers, even if the seller does not have a physical presence in the taxing state. The decision overturned Quill Corp. v. North Dakota (1992), which had held that the Dormant Commerce Clause barred states from compelling retailers to collect sales or use taxes in connection with mail order or Internet sales made to their residents unless those retailers have a physical presence in the taxing state”.

As do AliExpress and Amazon, so…

If you have any tax-free alternatives to purchase Sofirn products, please inform us.

Barkuti is right. Sofirn doesn’t have a store set up. Rather just several listings of items for sale.

Simple to set up. Security Measure

Yes, now we don’t have. It needs time.

It is not Ebay charge tax, but your country charge tax. As the old saying goes: Death and taxes, two things are inevitable in life, and only inevitable. :person_facepalming:

I don’t know much about tax. Anyone know this? How can I do?

:+1: wait for your positive feedback
