I also hope Hank will release an aspheric kit later on. Prometheus/47s just released an aspheric kit for their quark. That would be amazing for this light.
What size is the mcpcb? I hope it will fit a SBT90.2.
21700 and USB-C is the thrower I’ve been waiting for :+1:
Also hope there will be a SST-20 2700K or LH351D shaved dome version. What the market lacks is a WW thrower to cut through fog.
Looks amazing! better than i thought. Please make an SBT90.2 version as well. We’d all love to see it. It’s 3v as well so the driver should be cheap and easy to manufacture.
If it can use a white flat, it can use an SST-20, and Hank has previously been willing to put emitters he stocks in his lights even if they’re not on the order form. SST-20 3000K should be an option. I’m aware of a couple people having special ordered the D1S with an SST-20 with a disclaimer that the emitter might burn out.
What I’m most interested in knowing right now is whether it delivers full output when the battery is low (before any low-voltage stepdown/warning/cutoff).
Same. Just sounds more…expensive. Much prefer Noctigon K1 to Emisar D1Sv2. i mean the sun would’ve already risen before you’ve completed the task of saying the name.
Any care to elaborate on the driver/ regulation? Buck/ Boost driver? Any idea of what sort of UI are we looking at? Very excited for this!!
I’m getting at least two of these for sure. SST-20 and Osram. SBT-90 would make 3. Single 21700 is a great setup for a super-thrower, while not being seriously over-encumbering.
Hank, could you add an SST20 95CRI (3000k or 3500k or 4000k) as stock light option? A lot of people is interested in this version, as I am. Big reflecter and regulated driver makes all sence for this Hi CRI throwy led.
