Hi AlexGT.
Did the reflector worked with your E01?
How was the bean comparing with the original TIR?
Thanks for your help.

Did you ever try this?

Also, has anyone done any other mods to this light? New LED? Spacer+more emitters?

I got the reflector but haven’t had a chance to install it, will try it over the weekend when I am back home.

Any updates? Fireflies E01 is now available with White Flat 2 emitters, and I’d like to buy one and swap the optic for a reflector for even more throw.

I’m curious if they modified the pwm duty cycle via firmware or if it uses a different driver.

Unfortunately the lip diameter of the reflector does not fit inside the light, needs about 1 mm filing and don’t have the time to try and manually do it. :frowning:

Still looking for another reflector…

This is how it looks

The reflector fits the bezel crown

It doesn’t fit the inside diameter of the light.

Thanks for the update!

Can you please let me know if yours Fireflies E01 can take also non OEM (rewrapped) 21700 batteries?

That should not matter. Protected cells are much longer and those probably won’t fit.

I got the E01 with the Osram 2mm and unfortunately, it turns pure blue on Turbo even with NCR18650B. At top of ramp, it is white light. There is a lot of artifact because I think the optic is not focused for this domeless emitter but the beam is very narrow.

I contacted Jack at Fireflies to see what is going on but no reply for over a week already. I’ve been a frequent Fireflies customer since their Enogear brand and sometimes it takes a month for them to reply :weary:

Hmm, they might have moved too quickly to make this and not tested it properly. Sounds like it needs more resistance. Or maybe they can tweak the UI and set Turbo at a lower output, like 145 out of the 150 steps to give it more reliability.

This is the model that you can’t adjust the ramp levels, right?

It’s Anduril. But I will wait for Fireflies’ answer first before I mess with it.

One or more of their lights use a simplified version of Anduril that gets rid of the adjustable ramp levels.

I was thinking, if this model has full Anduril you could raise the ramp level to the point before it goes blue and then just not ever use Turbo. This way you can use max safe brightness.

There’s also a chance your mcpcb might not be making good contact to shed the heat fast enough. If there’s a spec of dirt or a high spot under the star, that could cause it to go blue.

Interested, if still possible. Thanks a lot in advance!
