Amutorch AT40 Nichia misbehaving on high (slowly dimming and then going to bright again)

Hi experts,

Any idea what’s happening here? I’ve disassembled and cleaned everything in hopes that might resolve it, and I’ve also tried multiple batteries. The problem is only on high.

I had a KDLitker C8.2 (XHP50.2) which when set to Low mode, will automatically ramp up to higher brightness mode.
I wonder if it is a similar type of problem.

I didn’t know how to fix it, but sent a video to the supplier who sent a replacement (the first replacement had another different issue, such that I had to ship back the 2 malfunctioning units to the supplier who then send me a new replacement that finally works without any issues).
