Virence VS35SP36 MCPCB - cost effective (High CRI) General Lighting solution

No by default. But you probably can do it yourself by scraping the masking and make your own wiring path.

Hello clemence !

Any plans to bring such packages (more particularily the Optisolis based ones, as tested bu Maukka) in a complete bulb format (E27 based for instance)?

Yeah, I’m thinking to make circular DIY kit for light bulb retrofit. But the problem is in choosing universal sizing for the MCPCB. Would you like to participate in the research?
And one more thing: almost all light bulb’s diffuser are glued to the base. Not so easy to open for general public

At the moment I can't think of a better dream solution than using R95 Optisolis to light my rooms. It's your fault, since you made me discover Jetµsolis!

So, you bet I'd be glad to help to find a solution to mod/create our own bulbs!

I know we have Bocian here that is creating some nice custom E27 bulbs, based on Citizen LEDs. He might be of help. Maybe by joining each of our BLF's talent we can build together the ultimate bulb.

I like the sounds: Ultimate bulbs. I’ll try to contact Bocian then. ….or any other light bulb manufacturers

Because of the nature of things, safety reasons and the manufacturer’s policy, LED bulbs are not intended to be opened and modified. There will be someone who does not know the basics of electrical rules and we have an electric shock and other problems :frowning:

I wish you luck with this too. The first question will be how many thousands of pieces you want to order in this configuration

[quote=Bocian]

That’s so unfortunate :frowning:

Clemence. send me PM about what You want to achieve/produce/sell. What materials, shape, mounts, expected power, way of light distribution (diffuser/reflector/TIR), electrical parameters (current, voltage, power) of Your LED module.

Hi Bocian,

Thanks for your response. This is not about me. I personally have an agenda for another project. So, I’m not going to be the person in charge for this one. Optisolis light bulb is indeed something I have in mind since last year. But at this point I can only provide special custom designed MCPCB and Optisolis LED. Since you already have some ready to use product, swapping an LED module should be easy. Your product use 36V Citizen, right? And being a light bulb, no specific optic is required, just an unidirectional diffuser bulb is needed.
In my opinion Fneuf should be person to arrange another BLF project for BLF ultimate light bulb project. He has done some researches deeper than most of us in this topic. Just like many BLF projects before, this could be a great pilot project for another greater ideas.

Yes, I use mostly Citizen CitiLED 12s (~36v) 97 CRI. Some sample photos with E27 base:
5W/7,5W/9W, incandescent 75W:

9W, 12W:

18W:

Centrally embedded COB diode is located on the copper plate, but there is no problem to use other LED module (with a properly selected power supply, of course).

If an Optisolis E27 LED bulb ever comes to fruition, I’m up for at least 20.

Here is an example of ceiling lighting:

Sorry if I make a mess in Your thread Clemence.

No worries Bocian, it’s related. You can PM me the available space for the Optisolis board. Can you make the driver switch modes by tapping the input? Phillips use this method to switch between CW, NW, and WW. This way I can design a multi CCT copper board

Interested in many. Please make it happen guys

120V compatibility please!

I'd be glad to help with my modest abilities. Like seriously I'm not the perfect technical guy for that (I consider myself way less proficient than you guys), but at least I'm motivated and I'm pushing this idea. So I can still help, coordonate, and maybe handle other aspects: like putting a toe in the water and see if we gather some feedbacks of the crowd.

But before reaching that, we need to make it serious. Which competencies do we need, what specs are we targetting, what is the public for that, etc

The thread I initially created around this topic "LED Bulbs - Ultra High CRI - The Honorable Quest" has reached more than 1400 view in less than 3 days. I don't know the average metrics for topics on BLF, so at the moment I don't know if it is a clue of high interest or not. But let's see that.

I propose, not to interefer more with Clemence mPCB current offering, that we all continue this specific discussion in the renamed:

>> "Ultimate LED Bulbs - Ultra High CRI - The Honorable Quest" <<

And keep the discussion here exclusively about clemence mPCBs.

I would like to make a mule out of this board, but as is it requires a pretty big head. So I wonder if it can be trimmed at all? The intended led config is 36p.

Also I wonder if anyone is aware of a soda can sized flashlight with a tilting head, which can accommodate this board as is? the driver has to be capable of at least 10amps @ 3.7v

It can be trimmed down from 46,6mm diagonal to round 33mm.

I am looking for a solution to light up a pathway. Have you considered selling your garden design as a kit (heatsink, MCPCB w/LEDs & glass cover) that just needs to be assembled and wired up?
