Debbie really likes my copper S2+ and wants a copper flashlight for Christmas.
I showed her the 3rd revision “Litnit” copper S2+ and she didn’t care for it. I think the name put her off more than anything.
She is tech savvy enough to deal with LiIon batteries and one of the more straight forward UIs like 3/5 mode or biscotti. She doesn’t want to spend the time to learn to use more complicated firmware.
It needs to be good looking. I think the copper MF01 is out because of Anduril. I’d also like to stay away from anything larger than an 18650.
Get the new S2+ but get the short tube. It doesn’t have the branding. Simon could probably make a custom order. There is no knurling but it is gorgeous and simple.
Is she ok with the general size/weight of the S2+?
If smaller AA/AAA lights are an option, I think Reylight makes some of the most attractive brass and copper lights. If I’m not mistaken they can all run on the 10440/14500 lithium batts as well. Simple twist UI with good mode spacing and pleasent emitters.
Yes but that is the upper limit. AA is fine too as long as it compatible with rechargeable batteries and the UI isn’t M-L-H. 14500 compatibly would be a plus.
MF01 mini in copper is too big and probably too heavy.
