Convoy L6 memory removal? and WainLight !!

I recently got a Wainlight which is almost identical to Convoy L6. The driver and output is similar except it has no memory function so every time you push the tail cap switch, it is always on turbo mode. And side switch for high to low modes. That is very very nice and it is more like a “tactical” light than the Convoy L6.

Does anyone know how to remove the memory in Convoy L6?

Just for your information, the Wainlight is not a clone of Convoy, although they have different suppliers of hardware / components, they have partnership before according to the boss of Wainlight. I am not sure if this is true. But I know that the flashlight circle in China is very small. I ordered it in China (Taobao) for about US$30.

:weary:

I will get a Wainlight in brown from Taobao soon. They are quite cheap, hopefully they can compare to the real Convoy L6.

Menufunc, why would you want this light to start on Turbo? Personally I like my flashlights to start low and I can increase the brightness if I need it. Flashlights with 3000 or 4000 lumen turning on in Turbo tend to spoil your night vision and blind everyone if accidentally turned on.

However, I don’t know how to get the L6 always starting with Turbo if not swapping the whole driver. If you would put in a NarsilM driver you could double click and it would give you Turbo and you can ramp down from there.

Its a good feature if you are working in security.

Since I have a lot of smaller and lower output flashlights, once I use the big L6 I always want the turbo mode

is the wainlight a clone or what ? i doubt the real simon would make that?

True for sure. I prefer a fast double click to access Turbo, though.

That is actually true for me as well. But I prefer to start with a lower brightness because I don’t want to be flashed by the full blast. :sunglasses:

I don’t know how to remove the memory, but I had lexel set up the drivers on my L6 so that the rear clicky always ignites at full turbo, then the side switch operates as normal… Best of both worlds
