Did the 70% from amazon stop? I initially clicked the amazon link and saw it there but closed it and went to vipon and claimed code then went back to amazon and it’s not there
I snoozed, I losed. Hopefully the coupon renews tomorrow. By the time I got there, the Vipon page reported page not found. There’s nothing to be found searching for “Garage” either.
When I went to the Rossman Repair website to compare their price on 30cc of Amtech Solder Flux with the same on Amazon, I noticed this Extech MN25 DMM for a mere $8.04 (regularly $32.99). So as a hobbyist who only needs a DMM occasionally for checking the basics like voltage or resistance, this seems like a deal worth consideration. For the community's electronics experts, is the Extech MN25 worth purchasing for at least checking battery voltage, or as a backup to your backup DMM, or for gifting to someone just starting to learn electronics where a high-end DMM can be very intimidating, etc.?
BTW, the Amtech NC-559-V2-TF Tacky Flux, 30cc purchased through Rossman is $21.23 (including the plunger, needle tip + S&H to Michigan) versus $29.99 on Amazon. Although shipping could be potentially slower, saving more than $8 is worth it to me.
Extech makes some high quality products which this is probably on the bottom of the price list I would still think its a decent product.
For your all purpose hobby measuring it should be fine. Auto-ranging is a nice feature if you ever decide to move on up the electronics ladder.
Its been more than a year ago since I ordered any Amtech from Rossman, but I dont think it took to long to get here in NC.
One thing I did with the 30cc syringe was to dispense some of it into a smaller 10cc syringe from tractor supply. Filed the needle tip blunt to keep from sticking myself. Makes using it very convenient, no mess, very easy to control the amount and no cap to put back on. Doesn’t come out unless pushed.
