*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

My heart canā€™t take much more! Iā€™ll just wait.

Barry did write in an earlier post (many pages past) that the GB folks would get their lights first.

So should I wait then for group buy if I just see a cheaper price?

53$ with Batteries. Hoepfully it will be a later Batch2 Version. Or at least it will arive

My lantern finally arrived.

Very nice, particular tuned all the way to warm. Getting used to Anduril lights now. The Sunset mode works great.

Also, I got a bonus. When I opened the box, a largish spider came out, all the way from China.

PS: hope I can get the second one I signed up for, eventually.

Yes, then you can have your own family of Chinese spiders.

How did ppl get it for $50? I ordered it with an SP10S and paid Ā£51.48 ($66.15). I applied the new user discount any other coupons I could including the 11:11 code.

Whatā€™s the difference between the first and second batch?

There should be a more accurate manual, and some minor firmware differencesā€¦ but with the way these things seem to go, there is no telling what differences you may find.

If that spider is female and carrying eggs, you may have introduced a new species to your country

Thats probably how the Emerald Ash Borer came to the US and wiped out all the Ash Trees over the last few years.

Man I tried using AliExpress and its so confusing. Anyone else have problems? Or am I the only one? :person_facepalming:

Why canā€™t it be like amazon. . . Add to cart! Purchase!

It is always best to open packages from abroad with a can of hairspray and a Bic lighter close at hand.

Yep. There are many examples of that sort of disaster happening. The citrus industry in Florida is threatened with a wipeout because of some disease that they figure was brought here by someone illegally importing some orange tree cuttings. In the past, we also made the problem ourselves by importing a species of something that was supposed to be the cure for some other problem.

That captured my interest, so I had to do some googling ā€¦

Heckā€¦Iā€™d take the spider off.you if you were local

THIS was the spider you got delivered?
I youā€™d sold this one again, you would get the lantern for free

Maybe because 3450 mAh is not a round number? I have a bunch of these cells and even after repeated abuse 99 % of them still measure 3450 mAh Ā± 30 mAh. I would have called them 3400 mAh just because but hey. All manufactures mAh ratings are lies if you ask me because the testing is done at such low amperage and measured down to 2.5 volts. The NCR18650GA is my go to when non protected 10 amp and or high capacity cells are needed.

I thought of that when I killed it.

Iā€™m partial to them too. Theyā€™re going to be my Go-To for ā€œlowā€ power lights like the A6, SC31, etc.

I like how the factory believes in ā€œunder-promise and over-deliver.ā€ If you look at their spec sheets, theyā€™re only rated as 3300, yet are expected to have a minimum capacity of 3350 and a typical rating of 3450. I can respect their modest promises. Like you, I am even OK with them being advertised as 3400. After that, itā€™s just a slippery slope that leads to calling them GIF 9900 or UltroFire 5800.
