ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

If you want to be 100% sure, buy a Japanese knife

I have this one, it’s p( r )etty good

You should check this store out too. They have plenty of interesting stuffs.
This is my freshly arrived FZIZUO kitchen knife from them with VG10 core damascus blade. The feel of quality, fit & finish are superb so I’m quite impressed so far.

Desert ironwood handle with mammoth fossil:

The leather sheath is also pretty:

Other CH knives tested by Luv Them Knives have been the advertised steel. Hardness seems to vary. Some were above the advertised hardness and some were below.

This knife has a curious blend of features. It’s a folding knife with a flipper tab. It’s also a cleaver with a hole for hanging. It isn’t just any hole either. That hole is meant to hang securely on a nail.

You can easily tell if its real D2 or not. Since its not a stainless steel you will easily get light rust stains on the blade. All my no-name titanium D2 knifes are fake but not my Ganzo and Sanrenmu.

New little knife today and a new idea for a Cold Steel advertisement… That blade cuts through brioche like it was nothing!

I’ve been busy the last couple of months…

Lovely! :+1: Which one is your favourite fixed blade?
What’s the name of the brown slip joint folder at the bottom? It’s really nice.

Fixed blade would be the tiny Esee Candiru, been used the most.

The slip joint is a Carhart Backpocket, probably carried the most with the Convoy in sheath.

That big Panthera is kind of easy to carry, slim profile and kind of lite.
These are the latest budget knives I have received.

Clone, copies, fakes….whatever

My army of clones:

Like……

Can you swing the blade back and forth while holding back the lock?

I have a real BM mini grip and that’s what I like about it.

That is a mini on the bottom and large are the top 2?

That’s correct. Surprisingly the mini is the smoothest out of the box.

But…what about the traditional knives??
They are beautiful!!
I really like the coupple of Whinchester and the…?? Which brand is the next down the Winchester coke bottle handle’s?
Are they “chinese” replica or old made american made? (no matter for me, just to know about).
Thank you!!!

They are U.S. made there is a Winchester Banana Trapper Lockback then the Winchester Large Coke Bottle and below that is a Case Coke Bottle.
Nice large blades.

Oh dear…I was hoping they were from China…so I could afford them :smiling_imp: :frowning:
The Case have a very nice full flat blade. I hame so jealous
Thank you very much sir!

For China made traditionals you could try this:

I love the easy money series

I’m curious to try a folding knife from Aliexpress. I liked my CRKT M16, until I lost it. Great knife and exactly the right size. Bigger knives start to scare people around here. I would like something with a better grade of steel.

Ganzo seems to make good knives and the D2 is legit. All of them seem slightly bigger than what I’d like.
What are all those clones like? Good for show, but crap quality?
Any brands you would recommend, besides Ganzo and Sanrenmu?

Ganzo came out with a smaller version of the FH11, the F11S. I know it’s smaller but I don’t have the specs right here in front of me.

FH11S with D2 blade
Total length: 184 mm
Blade length: 78 mm
Blade thickness: 2.9 mm
Weight: 82 g

FH51 has almost same dimensions Total length 185 mm Blade 81 mm, 87g.
