I’m assuming amazon is charging tax if ordered in the US? I’m in California.
I was not charged tax when I placed my order. Don’t know if it matters which state you are in.
Everyone charges tax, even eBay and aliexpress. Banggood hasn’t charged me tax yet.
Very thankful for all communication from Barry, and now Lan Lee!
Thank you for the kindness. I feel motivated now! Anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Great to hear Graduated from College
Now your part of the Work Force, for a long time.
I hope you like your new job and learn a lot about flashlights.
I got a different lantern today. A few weeks ago I found an Aladdin no#23 kerosine lamp on a flee market for a mere €4.50. I felt lucky but did not know yet that it needed a new wick and a new mantle, and some kerosine of course. So now I’m another another €35 down the road but today the wick came in and I got it working. The output is a bit less than the LT1 but it looks pretty (and makes me feel a bit “prepared” :party: ).
@djozz
That looks like one of the lantern we used to have when I was growing up, it always came handy for we had lots of power outages.
Got a code for LT1 and placed order on Amazon.ca, no tax was charged.
I got a different lantern today. ……… Aladdin no#23 kerosine lamp
Great! Aladdin’s are the best kerosene lanterns ever made, IMO… Good find!
ToyKeeper:The short version is:
- Get a usbasp device, a ribbon cable, and either a SOIC8 clip or a pogo pin adapter.
- Install some free software.
- Physically attach the adapter, and run a command on a computer or phone.
Can Hank’s flashing kit for the D4v2 be used or will a different pogo pin adapter style is required?
Has this been answered yet? It looks like the programming pad layout is similar but I’m not sure how that works.
