Sofirn has their own factory, but does make lights for other companies.
Astrolux is a brand by Banggood and they have had their lights made from a few different factories. Lately a lot are from Mateminco.
Keep in mind these factories mainly focus on the cnc machining and assembly. Things like bezels, switch covers, reflectors, port covers, etc… are bought from outside suppliers (sometimes custom speced, but off the shelf parts are cheaper).
So while it’s possible the EC01 came from Sofirns factory, I think the odds are that it didn’t. More than likely they just happen to use some similar looking parts.
Also, manufacturers usually don’t like giving out info on who built their light. It’s considered a secret.
One way to find out, does the Mateminco store carry a version of the EC01 under their name? If so, then they where built by 2 different companies. If they don’t, then we are still in the dark.
Of cause: Mateminco MT07 (MF01Mini) , MT18S (MF01S). At least these have Anduril. The Drivers are from @Lexel, I think. The Aux-Boards are definetly designed by Lexel.
So it is confirmed! I have been suspecting that for some time already…
However, one unknown is which Anduril version is used on the EC01? It appears to be using some older Anduril firmware version (at least compared to the Anduril firmware that are used on the MF01S/MF01-Mini or FW3A/EDC18, which has gained the new Anduril functions like factory reset).
Wow, I forgot all about that light. Martin said Astrolux was working with Haikelite to make the FT04. I don’t know if Haikelite has their own shop to cnc the bodies or if they farm it out to another company, though.
In the discussion about producer of Banggood flashlight brand Astrolux is Sofirn, I think the same for Bamggood Blitzwolf brand, ie earbuds Blitzwolf BW-FYE7 looks very alike Syllable S101 I think they are the same product.
