BLF Lantern Purchase/Followup Information - Group Buy list is Closed!!!!

Same for me, which is why I didn’t make it onto the first order.

How long until they responded to you and provided a code that would also work for a lantern + batteries code?

Same feeling here. I rotate it 180°

They never did.

When was this?
Have you reached out to Lan Lee yet for a resolution?

I responded to Lan Lee’s initial private message (as the Sofirn user) as per the instructions and said I need the code for LT1 + batteries (responded twice). No response. I will now send a new private message.

Button top or flat tops?

Part of your question is missing.

If you’re asking what Sofirn supplies, they’re button tops.

If you’re asking what will work in an LT1, the answer is button tops, but also the ‘extended flat top’ Sanyo GAs. Standard flat tops and flat tops where the positive contact is kind’a tall and comes close to the insulating wrap are a complete No-Go.

I work in IT, and I feel this so much. Having a day of that today, and this comment gave me a smile.

I appreciate that you answered the two most obvious questions they could have been asking, and that you were pretty thorough. This general attitude of helpfulness is part of the reason why I like this community so much.

I would add that a search (and probably the OP) would have also yielded the answers with only a little effort. Everyone should try to find the answer first, then ask after they are unable to find the answer (often, the answers can be found quicker by searching anyway).

I’m thinking the OP needs to be updated to note that batch 2 is now shipping? At least I think that’s true based on this post.

EDIT: opps, I didn’t create this topic and can’t update it)

Yes, I was expecting SigShooter to see this and update as appropriate.

I did update the tittle too in the main LT1 topic.

Just saw this and I’ll update it along with other pertinent info

I ordered one on 11/19 and its due to deliver tomorrow. Just in time for my son’s Christmas present. :+1:

Hope it arrives in time! :+1:

You can re-program it yourself if you want to add SOS or future updates. Need to read around, but you need the PCB from oshpark, the USB programmer from fasttech and some pogo pins - cost is not massive I think it was all < $10/€10/£10 delivered (still waiting for some of it to arrive).

See the main thread on colours, looks like issues with anodising company and no time soon, which is a shame as I am waiting with my 2nd code for colours…

Or, if you have an SOIC8 clip, you can pull the driver out and flash it from the top side.

That was a step too far for my experimentation

I have the bits for my programming key, but I haven’t yet found the time to put it together. Apart from assembly, this is the easy way.

The SOIC8 clip method isn’t too bad where I’ve used it, but my Emisar lights with the first party programming key are my favorite to flash by far. I’m glad development has moved in this direction.
