No. I didn’t talk to Hank about it. I ask mainly out of curiosity. Personally, I love stainless steel bezels and would buy 2 pieces.

I wasn’t too keen on the original D4, so I gave it away again. But all lights that I currently own have an SS bezel (D4v2, MF01 mini, EC01 and a disassembled original MF01) - apart from an LED Lenser P5.2 that was one of my first flashlight purchases years ago, but I don’t really use that one.

You say D4v1 (the first model). Not all of them can be retrofitted with the SS bezel sold for the D4v2. The screw threads don’t match on mine.

I definitely would, but I think it’s a crapshoot whether the threads will match up or not. I just had water infiltration on my one EDC D4V1 because it’s been dropped so many times the bezel was so deformed that it didn’t press the o-ring to the lens tightly enough to be water tight anymore. Dried it out and swapped it with another aluminum bezel from a less used D4.
