What are you snacking on now?

Portuguese pear right now. Juicy, firm and sweet almost like candy. Now I doubt there’ll be enough by the end of the week for me to try making kompot

Dark chocolate covered hazelnuts.

Fresh habanero pepper. I like to catch the endorphin glow.

Mexico Lindo Habanero sauce on yellow corn tortilla chips

Earlier Deer Jerky. Now, peanut brittle. The lady down the road makes the peanut brittle herself. I normally don’t do sweets and try and keep my sugar intake to a minimum but, boy it sure is good.

Corn tortilla chips and homemade hummus heavy on the garlic. Pomegranate.

Hatch chili guacamole with blue corn tortilla chips.

Turkey Breast + Avocado on Multi-Grain.

Banana and peanut butter.

A square of a Trader Joe’s organic 72% cacao belgian dark chocolate bar. Well, okay, 2 squares really.

YO MAMA!

Sorry, I had to

They make an 85% cacao bar that’s delicious. Title is “The Dark Chocolate Lover’s Chocolate Bar.” Only 6g of sugar per serving (40g). It’s low on the sugar so the chocolate flavor comes through more. Really delicious.

One of my go-to snacks is a slice of toasted bread with cream cheese and sunflower seeds sprinkled on top. I put a nice generous layer of the sunflower seeds. Tend to go with dried but not salted. As long as they’re fresh, taste is great. I love it on sour dough bread.

Other times I’ll smear a thick layer of avocado on toast. I’m hearing that millennials are into that as a breakfast substitute (instead of cereal).

1 pm.
Mug of Chocolate with 6 drops of sweetener.
1 Thick slice of Woolworths home bakery
Dark Brown, half inch thick slices, seeds and grain bread.
Fresh out of over 2 hrs ago. Still warm.
Butter followed by THICK Strawberry jam/ with seeds.
MMM. I could live on their bread. but my belly says otherwise.
(As does the wife).

That one slice is a meal to me nowadays.
Used to be 2 slices several times a day. But That with chocolate,
Ice creams etc. saw my hit 119kg’s.
Down to 110.9kg hr ago. B4 the bread.

I have now tried every flavor of crunchy Cheetos.

My favorite is Jalapeño Cheddar.

It's going to take a while for me to finish eating all the flavors I don't like as much, but once I do, I'll stick with my fave.

I thought my fave would be a Flamin' Hot variety, so I tried them all, but they don't compare (in flavor) to the not-so-hot Jalapeño Cheddar.

Puffed cheetos chips. The crumbs actually. Stopped my son just short of finishing the whole bag. Had a pilsbury honey butter biscuit to satisfy the lack of snacks after my teenager stayed home, sick with a cold

Just finished another banana. How mundane, huh?

I don’t like “raw” (ie, unripe) bananananas, so there’s this like 25min window between being unripe and overripe. Can’t eat a bunch in that short window, so when overripe, I do it simple. Peel the banananananas and toss into a blender (minus the mooshed brown spots, yecch), drop in some sugar, top off with milk, and you got a nice banananana milkshake.

Filling enough to be a meal if you toss in a bunch.

I actually ruined one by adding old vanilla extract that tasted disgusting, and ended up tossing the whole thing, so I don’t even attempt to add it anymore. Take a chance if you want…

White bread, with shrimps, mayo, lemon and milk.

4 Ginger Biscuits and a nice sweetened Capucino.
5.30pm. pre dinner.

Last snack I had was a French bread roll (y’all may know it as marraqueta) with mortadela and mayonez. Today it’ll likely be a pear before lunch and a plum right before I pedal back home, then I don’t know, probably a bread roll with margarine to scratch the itch before dinner.

Try doing that with avocado, only thing you have to change is add more sugar because it’s not a sweet fruit. My mother and I tend to swap dinner for this delight when avocado’s on sale.
