What game are you playing/looking forward to and on what platform?

The best gaming experiences I’ve ever had were Halo 1 and 2 split screen with friends, combined with Xbox live back when everyone used mics and weren’t screaming obscenities at each other (at least not as much/only when deserved  ). What a time.

I remember the mods where you could pilot Scarab walkers and fly bombers dropping nukes on them, good times.

Planetside 2 on PC, the largest scale FPS so far.

The learning curve is steep, although the developers are working on that, but once I got the hang of it, the scale and open nature of the combat really hooked me.

I'm playing Persona 5 on PS4.

I really like Japanese-style RPG's, and I mostly play PS3 and PS4 games.

I usually play older games while I watch TV, but their graphics aren't that impressive.

Well, I beat Persona 5 on PS4.

I actually beat it twice on PS3, so this is the third time I have beat it overall.

It's such a great game, and series.

Next I will try Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memory on PS4.

It doesn't have the best reviews, but I like its genre.

EDIT:

Looks like I should play Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth first, so I won't be playing its sequel quite yet.

Instead, I'll try Odin Sphere Leifthrasir on PS4.

Cyberpunk 2077 my entire life is waiting for this game

Need for speed Porsche

Civ 4

Oh Civ - don’t even tell me……… I shudder to think how many days I’ve played CIV since the 1st one lol! True classic.

More XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Currently on a Classic (second hardest difficulty) run with Marathon (everything takes longer and costs more), and accidental Damage Roulette. Early game felt like headbutting a brick wall, but sloooowly I’m making progress. As soon as I get an alien containment facility up and put satellites over Brazil and Argentina to get the instant-autopsies-and-interrogations bonus, it’ll be a massive leap in my gear development speed.

That, of course, while hoping that no more countries withdraw before I get the satellites up or I’ll game over DX

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is really good, but I quit playing it for now because it's more complicated than I prefer.

I've been playing Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth for a while now.

It's okay, but I've played much better JRPG's.

The plot is kinda lame, a lot of the battles are too easy, and the voices are in Japanese.

(I like it when the audio is in English.)

Also, the music isn't the best, and the dungeons are re-used way too much.

The game isn't too complicated for me, so I'll most likely play it until I beat it.

But I doubt I will play through it more than once, which is what I sometimes do with games that I really like.

I beat Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth.

It wasn't that great, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you really like JRPG's.

Time to start the sequel.

Almost done with Metro 2033 Redux. Radial dynamic light sources like fire, anomalies and muzzle flashes have a very weird “bubble” effect on my screen because my graphics card is a rotten potato, but otherwise the game runs really well. Not sure if I like it more than the old 2033, but at least it’s more consistent with the sequels (Last Light and Exodus).

I recently revisited Empyrion. Still a great game, and to be honest I have no idea why it didn’t get bigger than it did/has.
The building possibilities are huge and you can lose hours just designing ships of various classes and bases etc.
The AI seems to be the biggest let down to me, it’s pretty pathetic to tbh. I have never played it multiplayer.
Old video, and a lot has been improved now, but it sums it up nicely!

i love a bit of CS go

infact im gonna have a go now

I'll play any FPS that isn't just about all cut scene video and little in the way of gameplay that's on sale for less than $30.Less than 10GB is a plus.

Oi, nice to see a fellow Empyrion fan! I don’t have it but loved watching Let’s Plays of it a while back when I was too broke to buy it, so much so that I’ve seen it grown from the very first alpha. It’s underrated as heck, you’re damn right about that.

Dusk. Amid Evil. Ion Fury. Serious Sam. Unreal. Pick your entertainment.

And if you change your mind, Deus Ex.

I like the Special Ops parts of COD 2 and 3.

Early Black Ops versions were good also.

I play the full Metro series when I need a quick fix.

Waiting for more of the recycled Master Chief on PC

Former USMC and NYPD shooting team,Competitor in many of the shooting sports

FIFA addict here…but adopted club West Ham so mostly play as them - sigh!

Prey is excellent and usually on sale. But you can just play TF2 or CS:GO for free anyway if you wanted.

Anyone into games like System Shock? They're like Deus Ex and Prey too. I am looking forward to the remake of SS1, System Shock 3, and hopefully there is a Prey 2. I do not consider Bioshock to fit in this genre, I guess its called an immersive sim. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immersive_sim I hope Cyberpunk 2077 is like that too.

Which one, the 2006 game or the 2017 one?

System Shock 2 is rad. Kinda early 3D jank, but it’s jank that works VERY well. And SHODAN is still the best evil AI in all of fiction, hands down.
