BLF LT1M - LT1 Mini (link to project)

This light will not require a high drain cell.

Exactly. Are there 21700s over 5000mAh like there are for 26650?

26650 is to heavy for backpacking. Even 18650 is considered to heavy for some of us. But pared with a 18650 headlight I might consider taking a lantern that runs on 18650 as I only need to take one type cell with me. Thereā€™s no need for long runtimes or high output an 18650 is more than adequate if you really want to design it with backpackers in mind. Also size matters while backpacking, make it as small as possible. No need for usb charging (how the hell you gonna charge it in the forest?) but could be useful.

I smell another 10,000 post thread in progress (with less than 20 posts worth reading) :stuck_out_tongue:

Count me in!

Might as well also start thinking about the LT1-Maxi with 100 emitters and 20 x 18650 capacity. :+1:

And please maintain your health, that last one took its toll!

Iā€™m in!
Would be great if base would be FW3A with 18650 battery

Ok, ok. Put me on the list. sigh

Count me in please.

Hehe, good one. I appreciate the loquacious sobriety.

Definitely interestedā€¦

Interested in this. If a suitable host can be found, I will gladly contribute a few dollars to get one sent to DBSAR for prototyping.

Interested. There are too few details to tell for sure and Iā€™d definitely like to know more.

In for 1 :sunglasses:

Like most other people, Iā€™m definitely interested in it and am curious to see how itā€™ll turn out.

I'm in.

If this thread is going to morph into an official group buy interest thread then, please, let me go ahead and put my name down. Iā€™m very much looking forward to seeing your design for this. :+1:

If this is an interest list than INTERESTED!

While weā€™re not taking names yet for a GB list, it is to see if there is interest in a micro-LT1 for those wanting similar features, quality, and purpose design in a much smaller lantern for backpacking, canoeing, kayak camping, or any need where space is limited and size & weight are critical. While it will have less output and less run times than the full size LT1, it will still be far better than any other mini/micro lantern of the size range available on the market.

Interested

Definetely interested :), waiting for 2 LT1 now, one for parentā€™s xmas gift.

Would be nice as a work light for small spaces as well. Attach to the underside of the car hood to illuminate the engine bay. Stand it in a corner in the under-sink cabinet while you work on the plumbing. Or even hang it in the closet that doesnā€™t have a light already, when youā€™re looking for something to wear and itā€™s dark. Also great for night time trips to the toilet or to get a snack from the kitchen without turning on bright house lights.
