BLF LT1M - LT1 Mini (link to project)

Like most other people, I’m definitely interested in it and am curious to see how it’ll turn out.

I'm in.

If this thread is going to morph into an official group buy interest thread then, please, let me go ahead and put my name down. I’m very much looking forward to seeing your design for this. :+1:

If this is an interest list than INTERESTED!

While we’re not taking names yet for a GB list, it is to see if there is interest in a micro-LT1 for those wanting similar features, quality, and purpose design in a much smaller lantern for backpacking, canoeing, kayak camping, or any need where space is limited and size & weight are critical. While it will have less output and less run times than the full size LT1, it will still be far better than any other mini/micro lantern of the size range available on the market.

Interested

Definetely interested :), waiting for 2 LT1 now, one for parent’s xmas gift.

Would be nice as a work light for small spaces as well. Attach to the underside of the car hood to illuminate the engine bay. Stand it in a corner in the under-sink cabinet while you work on the plumbing. Or even hang it in the closet that doesn’t have a light already, when you’re looking for something to wear and it’s dark. Also great for night time trips to the toilet or to get a snack from the kitchen without turning on bright house lights.

DavidEF, I like your thinking. A high powered magnet at the base might be nice for those vehicle and plumbing repairs. :+1:

If we’re gauging interest, count me in as well. Make sure to update us when a GB list starts!

LT1 needs a little bro’. I’m in.

I’ve got $5 on it. :+1:

Interested in a few of these. I think a micro is supposed to be 14500 though. Mini is 18650/21700

Interested in three when available!!!

No-no. No 14500 powered things. I have a few 14500 powered “regular” flashlights and while I like the physical size, I do like the limited capacity of that size cell. I guess we all have features that are most inportant to ourselves.

Myself, I would want nothing less than an 18650. Someone mentioned a little ways back that they would like an 18650 light as they backpack and would swap a cell between this new compact lantern and their headlight. I can see the advantage to that, as much as I also like the idea of using a 21700 cell for the new compact lantern.

I am not certain I would buy either an 18650 or a 21700 powered small lantern though. That’s my practical side showing through and overpowering my “Wow! Cool! I love that and want one” not so practical side. I must admit to also thinking about what I might cobble together myself. :person_facepalming:

Interested

As DSBAR said here we’re not yet taking names for an interest list. That will be done if and when we proceed with the Micro-LT.

I would go for 21700 battery form all the way, the best ratio of physical size vs mAh these days.

Interested in however this turns out!

I really like the form factor of the zanflare T1 (similar to the Femix Cl25R, but I don’t have one).

There was a debate as to whether the mounting of the LEDs in the T1 resulted in excessive heating of the 18650 cell.

I’d be interested to see if the LEDs could be mounted on the underside of the top- in the same way as the LT1.

Am I late?? Reporting in !!

The Magnet would be great.
