Lovely, thank you for the warm switch LED option! Had I not just ordered a Noctigon K1 (dark grey, W1), I probably would have gotten the brass D4V2 first. There is no question that I’ll be ordering one of these brass beauties in the future (warm switch LED, raised switch ring, SST20 4000K), probably after Christmas. Hopefully not a limited edition light?
[Edit and off-topic] Now… I only wish Hank would introduce a headlamp (in aluminum though, since brass might be a tad heavy on the head!), with Anduril of course, a super-low “Zebralight level” of sub-lumen moonlight mode and a high-CRI option. Then again, depending on brightness levels, maybe a warm switch LED could be used for a super low floody moonlight mode - just rotate headlamp body 90 degrees to point the switch forward! I generally quite like my 4000K-ish ArmyTek Tiara Pro, which has a nice smooth and wide beam spread, but after having numerous Emisar lights now, I am totally spoiled by the superb UI that ToyKeeper has come up with and find that I’m somewhat annoyed when using any other light! To satisfy both those who prefer headlamps with tighter beams and those who like smoother, floody beams (I do), maybe an optional screw-on diffuser could be supplied on a reflector based headlamp? Or I suppose an optic-swap system like the current D4 lights have could work too and might be more efficient than adding a diffuser? Oh and sorry, if there was already an Emisar headlamp request thread, I didn’t find it…
Happy to meet you here on this forum too. I am your Italian friend super fan of all Emisar torches; I have practically all of them and all you buy on your site. Then I write on the Italian forum CPFITALIA where I created a large group of other Emisar fans; there are many of my Italian friends who buy Emisar from you; but there is a problem, indeed a contradiction concerning the Emisar D18. As you know, my D18 purchased on November 11, 2019, does not have a muggle mode. ToyKeeper that I had the pleasure of knowing, left me with doubts; he says that the D18 versions without the muggle mode still should not be on the market because they are not perfected; in particular the 11-20 version that has the firmware without the muggle mode is an updated version which, as we both know, does not have the muggle mode, but unlike the others it can be reset, has automatic and manual memory and protection if you hold down long the power button. Well, ToyKeeper claims that d18s with muggle mode are on the market. This is our doubt: do all the versions on sale now with muggle mode have no factory reset, no manual memory or button protection? We would like certainties. For me, I don’t find the muggle mode in D18 very useful. But I would like to be sure that these Emisars without muggle fashions are safe and are those currently on sale. Thanks Hank, but I think this happens because of continuous updates and we customers never know a thing. Best regards Riccardo from Rome. Riccardo is my username on this forum. I’m Mario and I think you remember.
Yes. In lightning mode it is very visible, because lightning has those dark moments. In candle mode it depends very much on the brightness. This does not work very good, because the switch Led has only a few brightness levels. In tactical strobe, the effect is quite cool, too. But it is limited by the fact that the switch Led is not very bright.
Just got my d4v2 TI today and it’s by far the best EDC i’ve ever had. I got myself the sst20 4000k version with clear and floody optic
Bellow follow some beamshots using the clear 10622 optic and the floody 10623 optic, the beamshots are both taken on the same powerlevel
Beamshot clear 10622 optic:
Got mine yesterday.
WELL DONE! Beautiful light.
One thing I note: In rainbow mode it changes colors way slower that the earlier edition. No idea why that happens.
Not sure if you’re referring to the Ti version or the brass, but I have the Ti D4V2 and it does the same thing - slow color changes in rainbow mode. Must be a difference in the firmware version - I like the slower change, but I haven’t seen it in any other versions of the anduril firmware.
Could you please take some pictures of that combo with 3000K emitters on low? I am wondering how warm the switch aux LEDs are compared to 3000K emitters.
