*BLF LT1 Lantern Project) (updated Nov,17,2020)

Since there are issues getting the number of the colored versions with the anodizing factory, we asked Barry if it is possible to do a number of clear/bare aluminum versions too in place of some of the plain black. Maybe a bare shiny non-anodized aluminum version like the FW3A was done in, (or as a sand-blast/satin bare aluminum variant) like in the pic below.

I like the clear/bare version idea! In for one if it happens.

I'd like to see a sandblasted version...

I have yet to receive a code for the group buy but I would be down for a clear or satin version if they were available as a group buy item.

Non-anodized but sandblasted would be quite nice in my opinion.
One batch of Sofirn C01S BLF edition ended up being sandblasted of which I bought one.

They’re not in stock anymore but there are couple more pictures of that finish so if anyone wants to see here’s the link.

I could definitely go for a bare aluminum lantern. If that happens though, I really should make a small change to the firmware to make factory reset easier without anodized threads.

That would be the one issue with a bare version, is there will be no 1/4 turn mechanical lock out.

Are you on the original GB list of 3000?

One sand-blasted please!

I’d “spend” one of my GB numbers on a bare Aluminum.

I know I’m missing something, but I don’t know what it is.
(otherwise it wouldn’t be missing :student: )

I’m looking at TK’s operational graphic HERE , but I can’t figure out from which mode I do a 3H to get into tint ramping… or how to ramp once I’m there.

Any mode. It’s a global mapping, so it applies everywhere there isn’t something else overriding the 3H action.

Just “click, click, hold” and then let go when the tint reaches the desired color. If it goes the wrong way, release the button and try again.

Button events fall through a stack of “states”. If a state handles the event, that’s the end of the story. But if the state doesn’t handle that specific event, it keeps falling through to the next state… and the next, until something handles it. The tint ramp state is on the bottom of the stack, so it works anywhere… as long as the event isn’t mapped to something else at a higher level of the stack.

Not sure if that makes sense, but basically it means the tint can be changed at almost any time.

Yes DBSAR, I am on the list for two. Numbers 2439 and 2440. I know there were a lot of people on the list well ahead of me so it’s not a big deal waiting in line behind them.

Have you checked your messages? Everyone should of gotten a message by now, if not message sofirn.

I’ve seen a few photoshopped images showing possible colors, but I’d like to see some actual pictures when the color versions are in production. I’m a big fan of green  but orange would is right up there with my favorite colors.

if you have not received any code via PM, please send Sofirn here on BLF a direct message with your list #number.

Sorry. Sent one code just now.

Thank you all.

Received the code from Sofirn.

:+1:

That makes perfect sense. It turns out that I was just being a bit dense I saw the 3H from Off for the fancy blinkies and my brain refused to connect the dots for Tint being 3H from On.

At least I didn’t do anything /really/ embarrassing, like ask a question I’d already documented on a battery wrap & function cheatsheet that’s linked in my sig line…

Thanks
