[♛ FreemeGB-NOV] Haikelite HT70 4*SST70 6500k 17000 lumens 18650 Flashlight - ALIVE!

Still waiting for members to get their CW and test it. From scrolling through the posts looks like some got shipped on 11/25,18 days ago. Maybe some before that! They should be arriving soon.

IF 12/31 is a true date for NW to be available, looks like the end of January would be when we receive it.For obvious reasons, I want as much winter time left to enjoy it. :sunglasses:

You are Right, I got my HT70CW a few days ago and measured 255.600 Lux and 12.680 to 13.500 Lumen (powered by 8x Samsung-30Q button top battery).

Greets

Thanks, that’s pretty much what others were expecting. I wonder whether using 8x VTC5A would result in an increase in brightness?

my guess using sony high drains should give a bit more lumens.

I made a second measurement with 8 NCR18650GA and I got only a few Lumen less, 12.340 to 13.150 Lumen with this batteries. The difference to Samsung-30Q is only 350 Lumen…

Thanks… I do not have the talent to mod, but have always had a good eye for CD[Throw] and guessing lights measurements.

From those multiple city light polluted photos I could tell this light did not have any more intensity than my modded M2X [250Kcd],that is just what you measured. They advertised 1500m/~565Kcd. The light is Only 66% of that,255Kcd/1010m.

To me that is a great disappointment. NW numbers will be even less. P26A/VTC5A/VTC5D will make a little difference, but completely negligible by eye.

Right on lumens not throw. He was 300m off and Banggood was 500m off!

GA BT or FT?

I used Button Top only.

They rated it at 563kcd…like seriously wth. A single SB90.2 would be able to do that, not four domed SST70s. If they drop the price to $100 I think it’ll be a pretty good deal.

Remember that flat top will not work. The batteries have to make contact from head to tail.

Agreed. But we “can not” expect them to do that[Lower price] just as they “can” expect some Not to buy it because of its totally exaggerated throw/Cd numbers.

As we know they advertise 1500M/563Kcd throw when it is only ~ 250Kcd/1000M throw. That is a farce! I would have accepted 12K Lumens, which it appears to be and 350Kcd/1183m. I can not seem to accept such a drastic difference in what they advertise and what we are getting.

Also, when others get this light, I do not expect the numbers to be that different than the ones that have been tested by members.

I knew by the intensity, or lack thereof, of the beam shots on those buildings that it would be hard pressed to hit 350Kcd. The beams on those buildings of Mateminco MT35 and the NI40 SBT90 are just as intense as the HT70. Those lights are ~ 220Kcd to 250Kcd.That was my first clue and the numbers of tested lights so far verify that.

yea i agree its a bit optimistic rated the throw and lumens numbers… but its as always take such number with a big box of salt…

Basically it performs comparable to the MT09R, but with a bit more throw due to different emitters. I have no interest in this light as I don’t want to spend extra on 8 dedicated cells and an 8 bay charger specifically for this.

8 bay charger, huh. That’s necessary?

It should run fine on 4 cells, if that helps you any.

I know.

I asume that much lumens its kinda bad to just run it on 4 cells dont u think ? better runtimes run with 8 imo.

The batteries and/or chargers are not the issue for me. It is the light.

What about 2 x 4 bay chargers?! I have 5 X 4 bay chargers. I know not everyone does, but I would think most people have more than 1 X 4 bay charger?

Well that all depends on who the manufacturer and/or builder is. Most are a little off, but I have not experienced such Over inflated numbers like this light since my T-Mart days in the beginning of my hobby 8 years ago!

They rated it 5000 Lumens too high and 500 meters Less throw than it actually has. :person_facepalming:

I do have several. My Xtar VP4 is my main charger. I also have the Zanflare C4 and Lii 402. But these two often have slightly different terminating voltages. I know in real life it shouldn’t be a problem; it’s primarily an OCD thing. To me an 8 cell light needs an 8 cell charger.
This light would have been more interesting to me with 6 or 8 emitters and a slightly larger head for more heat dissipation. But then you probably need a different driver to prevent the risk of the FET going poof.
