Can I use a dimmable LED bulb in this table lamp?

We have just bought this dimmable (three-stage) lamp.

The descriptions states: "Bulbs required 1 x golfball SES small edison eco halogen bulb"

Do you think it has to be an E14 dimmable "eco halogen" bulb? Or do you think I can I get an E14 dimmable LED bulb?

The bulbs run $3-4 each here, if it were me I’d buy one and try it out. If it’s a dimmable led bulb, you’re not going to hurt the lamp or bulb. Worst case, you may see flicker or the bulb is too dim.

I'm mainly trying to avoid buzzing.

The name for the bulb appears to be a brand name for a 28W 240V halogen bulb which is supposed to have the same output as a standard 40W halogen bulb. You should be OK as long as the LED bulb specifies “E14, dimmable, and 240V”. Do not use one with international voltage specified as 85-240V
