For anyone wondering about the E03H and whether or not it runs on 14500, I can say definitely that the Nichia 219C version I purchased new recently will NOT support 14500.
It seems to run on the 4-basic levels but just a short burst on Turbo or attempting to enter program mode will fry emitter.
Nothing wrong with NiMH performance at all, quite nice as is, curiousity just killed the cat.
I have the E03H, and the E02. Is there an E02H? Or is that the same as the E02? I love both of these, they just exude quality! Enjoyed the review, thanks.
Just curious. Has anybody had success in taking out the driver/led assembly out in one of these? I know I saw somewhere here in BLF somebody swapped 219b on his (or her?) E02 and it looks like its only the retaining ring holding it in place. I can’t get my retaining ring to budge though and its all mangled now. My needle nose pliers has nowhere left to grip.
I think that’s for the bezel that holds the lens which is tight but I managed to remove that. The tube is also tough to unscrew but I also managed that. It’s the retaining ring that holds the driver that I can’t seem to move. Thanks for the find though. I knew I saw it somewhere.
I ordered a discounted E03H with a 219C, they claim WW, and they are still available at 1/2 price. Got mine in today - it's pretty nice, but the filters are a bit of a pain - mine are tough to slide. All in all, a good deal though, nice quality. The headband is so-so. Feels tight but also feels like it's gonna drop to my nose.
Whoa da - didn't notice this before, but on a good Vapcell 1000 mAh 14500, on turbo the tint turns blue quick! I quickly turned it off - LED still seems good. It really doesn't seem that bright to be maxing out a 219C. It must be on a bad alum MCPCB or something...
There was a thread in our Forum, BLF, from May of 2017 where you Manker said we could run the E02 on a 10440! Here is the link to the thread, yours is post number 29
if you tell us we can run our E02 on a 10440, and we try it and our light dies, are u not responsible? That is not good Customer Service, would u agree?
